Hebrews 8:

10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my laws into their minds, and write them on their hearts,
i.e., by the indwelling Paraclete

and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 12 For I will be merciful toward their iniquities, and I will remember their sins no more.”
Does God actually forget?

No, MacLaren explained:

the divine oblivion is a strong metaphor for the treatment of man’s sins as non-existent. It is the same figure, in a somewhat different application, as is found in the great promise, ‘I will cast their sins behind My back into the depths of the sea.’ It is the same metaphor as is suggested in a somewhat different application, by the other saying, ‘Blessed is the man whose sin is covered.’ And the fact that underlies the metaphors of forgetfulness or burying in the ocean depths, or covering over so as to-be invisible, is just this, that God’s love flows out to the sinful man, unhindered by the fact of his transgression.
Similarly, Barns:

This is evidently spoken after the manner of men, and in accordance with human apprehension. It cannot mean literally that God forgets that people are sinners, but it means that he treats them as if they were forgotten.
An attribute of God is omniscience. The language of Heb 8:12 is metaphorical and anthropomorphic. God will not remember our sins to condemn us to hell. However, Christ will judge our good deeds and bad deeds and reward us accordingly.

Well said. There is so much language like this in the Bible. It's common sense, but needs to be said, because there are so many ultra-literalists out there who want to turn a simple statement into a complex treatment on "godhood." ;)

Hebrews 10:17

“And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.”

King James Version (KJV)

Hebrews 10:17 Context

14For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. 15Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before, 16This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; 17And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. 18Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin. 19Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, 20By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;

I don’t repent any more of sin.

All of my sins God sees no more.why, because I have been Born Again of imperishable seed.

A Born Again cannot sin because they have been Born of Gods seed.

No, God never forgets. However, if we repent of our sins, He will no longer apply justice to them. He will apply mercy.
@TonyChanYT
In the true meaning of repentance, a person who has repented intends not to commit that sin again. If, however, he really does, must he not repent yet again?

Will God accept a second or third or more repentances for the same offence? He is very understanding and very merciful... but is there not a limit to His understanding and His mercy? We should not be testing His limits by returning to our same old wrong pathways and sins presuming that He will be there to forgive us one more time.

Pr 26:11As a dog returneth to his vomit, so a fool returneth to his folly.
Lu 17:32Remember Lot's wife.
Heb 6:4For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
Heb 6:5And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
Heb 6:6If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.
Does one who has looked back and sinned again have hope?
1jo 2:1My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
But, let not tempt God...
Heb 10:38Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.

Mt 12:43When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.
Mt 12:44Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished.
Mt 12:45Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.
When our 'house' has been emptied of the evil of our old ways, it should not ever be left empty... Rather it should be filled the Word of God and with all the good things of God, which He offers us so that there is no room for anything else. Then, there need never again be any opportunity for anything evil to enter in...

Christ will judge our good deeds and bad deeds and reward us accordingly.

Thats a false teaching, @TonyChanYT ....... and the reason it is...... = You gave no CONTEXT...

Listen... the "bema seat".. the "Judgement Seat of Christ" that Paul explains.....is not a situation where sins are balanced against good deeds.
Its not a place where good is counted and bad is counted and one of those is the WINNER...

See, that particular teaching you just posted @TonyChanYT ...., is how a Unbeliever thinks.

Listen,

= an unbeliever....will tell a Christian......""Listen, you are no better than me....I knew you when you were a JERK....when you were a THIEF,. .. when you were selling DRUGS.... when you liked to drink all the time and fornicate.......when you were not paying Child support.......and now that you got "religion" you want to shove it down my Throat using a BIBLE........so, let me tell you this.... Jesus Freak.... you are no better then me....so, if God will take you, He'll take me......God will look at ALL my deeds and if my bad deeds added up are more then my Good DEEDS.... then i go to hell. And if my GOOD DEEDS are more plentiful then my Bad deeds,...when its all added up..... then God will judge me as good enough to keep""".

So, reader do you see that? That is not how it goes, after you die.

As THAT is not the Judgement Seat of Christ... as the OP - poster has posted.....falsely

The Judgement seat of Christ is for those who are "IN CHRIST"... In "His Body"...."The Body of CHRIST", and that is why Jesus says you'll be judged for the deeds // works you've done in ="'"MY BODY""... As Paul Teaches.

How will you be Judged? ??
Jesus will analyze all you ever did for God and Christ, and He will examine those deeds for = HEART MOTIVE.

What was your Heart MOTIVE for doing it?

Why did you do those deeds?... = Was it to get ATTENTION? Was it to make more money ??? Was it so that people on Forums would give you attention and perhaps some PRAISE? (= likes)
Why did you want to be a deacon, or deaconess?
Why did you want to be a Preacher?
Why were you so driven to have a TV ministry?

What was the MOTIVE IN YOUR HEART for all the things you ever did for God and Christ?
= THAT is how you will be Judged, by Jesus...... at the "Judgment seat of CHRIST">... He is going to examine all you ever did for Him... to see if your HEART was right when you did it, or if you were just doing all those WORKS for SELFISH reasons...or Self Centered Reasons... or PRIDE FILLED reasons.

Check your heart , Reader, as God sees it right now.

He's always looking at your HEART.

Believe it.

When was the last time you sinned?
Been over this with you many times Tony, a Born Again doesn’t sin because God’s seed remains in them, that’s why they are unable to sin.

That’s heart revelation Tony...tell me what is this imperishable seed?

Are you saying that a Born Again sins?

When God has spoken His word, not only by His witness the Living Holy Spirit, which the written word also backs up...... a Born Again doesn’t sin because God’s seed remains in them?
So, why do you keep asking me , “ when was the last time I sinned”?

We still live in this body of sin and flesh that it once was........it sins no longer as explained above.....it’s our spirit that has been saved from sin Tony, when God made us Born Again of imperishable seed..via his witness the Holy Spirit...he is the Living seed.

1 John 3:9

King James Version

9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

This is the written word, that must be delivered to the heart/ spirit of Gods child, this can only be done by Gods Living witness, His Living Holy Spirit.

The Living Holy Spirit witnesses Gods truth to our hearts/ spirit ,hence one must be “ Born Again “.

See If you don't think that you have sinned since you were born again and wish to wager on it, and follow up there.

Weather this is a metaphor that "God remembers our sin no more" or actual of His part I do not know, but these verses were put there for a reason.

what constitutes good deeds and what constitutes bad deeds?
Good deeds- doing something for someone, or God Himself that is done with joy and grace.

Bad deeds- Totally the flesh, doing something out of an act of "duty" without a true heart felt desire to please God and help one in need. JMHO me BRO! :D

As people we are infected with the virus that compels us to look out for number 1.
Actions have their genesis in thought and feeling......and who of us is sinless in our thoughts....and feelings? Jesus confirms this.

Yes, I know there are those who spin long and convoluted stories about not being subject to these factors after being 'born again'.
Personally I think it's a head job with self honesty taking a back seat in preference to theories. Reality is suppressed in favour of fantasy/ imagination.

The 'born again' expression is given a spin it was never intended to have because it suits the pride of the flesh......evidenced by the 'how to' posts....in this case, 'born again'

Hey there Q.T.

"As people we are infected with the virus that compels us to look out for number 1."

Yes I agree. And there is none IMO I cannot imagine a "sinless" human being, homo-sapien, earthey carnal (once) beings can ever be without at least sinful thoughts at some time or another. That is one of the first things Jesus changed, that in me He has given me a "them first "desire" not just attitude but, the desire itself. Is it there every single time, unfortunately not yet. All the same He gave me that one, wasn't me, that's for sure!

"....and feelings? Jesus confirms this."
Good to know we do not live by our very fickle "feelings". If I do, I'm all over the map.
God has emotions and feelings as well yet, He expresses His in a HOLY way, us...not so much.

Yes, Got will forgive again and again, as long as we repent. Remember, we are all afflicted with the affects of Original sin, namely weakness of will and darkness of intellect. The angels, on the other hand, cannot be forgiven because they have no such excuse. Once the rebel angels made a decision to not follow and obey God, that decision was locked in forever. So, God understands our weakness and confusion, and makes allowances. He knows exactly where our heart is.
