He touched my leg in an uninvited and sexual way and nowadays they call that, sexual assault. So he initiated an assault and I responded to that.

To the Police, forward motion towards you is assault He didn't even have to make contact with me to justify me knocking him on his butt with violence. Perhaps you should brush up on your laws a bit more?

But technically, you are right. I "responded" with violence to his "initiation" of an assault.
