Of course you don't agree with everything Cottrell said. That is because YOU will always be right!I do not agree with everything he (Cottrell) said. But being a non-Catholic you won't agree with anything.
I know I am right. If you could have proved me wrong, you would have. And I would have admitted to being wrong....A skill you don't have.Mary you are right.
That was a quote from Mr. Cottrell who @Rella admires and agrees with....Until he is wrong....then she doesn't admire him, "the task of deciding which (bible passages) are true and which are false now falls upon each one of us, individually."
Where is that in the Bible???
Oh, here it is:

Hmmm.....so if one doesn't agree with David in NJ....they are denying the truth?Denying the Truth will only keep you in darkness.
It did not work for the religious leaders and left them in their sins.
Unless a man/woman humble themselves before the LORD and turn away from vain religion they will die in their sins.
Will @David in NJ respond or continue to dodge?Got it....Stop believing every word that proceeds from the mouth of David in NJ!
Dear DEAR David,
Can you not see how silly your above statement is? @BreadOfLife @Illuminator and I DO believe every word that proceeds from the Mouth of God! But when we tell you that what we believe is coming from the mouth of God, you tell us we are wrong. If we agree with YOU, we are right.
God said that the church is the pillar and foundation of truth (1 Timothy 3:15).
God said that we are to take our differences to the church AFTER we have tried to settle them between us and if your brother refuses t listen to the church they are to be kicked out of the church (Matthew 18:17).
God said obey the elders of your church and submit to them (Hebrews 13:17).
God said that the Holy Spirit chose the elders of the church, and those elders are to take care of the flock (Acts 20:28).
That IS what the 'Heart of God' is saying. BOL Illuminator and I can say that we are in compliance with the Heart of God. WE found that Church that has elders that we are to obey and has the authority to excommunicate a person. Have you?
Here is what really happened David: You could not accept what your elders OR your parents were telling you so you ran from The Church. You ran because at the mature age of 21 YOU knew better than your parents and the elders at The Church. You THINK you know what God said to you but in reality, you rejected what God said. You told the elders of your church they were wrong. You told your parents they were wrong. You DON'T have a church you can go to so that we can settle this difference between us. We do. You don't have a Church that YOU recognize as the pillar and foundation of truth. We do. Why is that, David? Because YOU have decided that YOU are the pillar and foundation of truth and your parents and the elders at The Church they raised you in don't understand the Heart of God like YOU do.
And that my Christian brother is The Truth....
Mary
Well, you have just proven my Posts true.Yeah? How 'bout Y'ALL start PRACTICING what you preach? Y'all LOVE to preach, and yet yer HYPOCRITES. You're so determined to point at others, and yet unwilling to point at yourselves.
Y'all claim that Catholics aren't "following the Lamb". Know what? NEITHER ARE YOU. The Lamb never said, "LIE about others." and yet that's exactly what you do. You don't want to spend the time researching...or learning. You think that you already HAVE 'the Truth".
You don't. You don't have the truth about Catholics...or anyone else for that matter.
@Mink57 and all catholicsHmmm.....so if one doesn't agree with David in NJ....they are denying the truth?
Interesting.....
As long as you keep on dissing Catholics, no...I haven't.Well, you have just proven my Posts true.
Must you be so insulting? Does it meet some sick need?
1 Tim 2:1-2 – because Jesus Christ is the one mediator between God and man (1 Tim. 2:5), many Protestants deny the Catholic belief that the saints on earth and in heaven can mediate on our behalf. But before Paul’s teaching about Jesus as the “one mediator,” Paul urges supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people. Paul is thus appealing for mediation from others besides Christ, the one mediator. Why?then you choose to die in your sins.
Have you read this lately? 1 Timothy 2:1-7
Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, 2for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. 3For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 4who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
5For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus,
6who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time, 7for which I was appointed a preacher and an apostle—I am speaking the truth in Christ and not lying—a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.
As long as you keep on dissing Catholics, no...I haven't.
And what does your quote have to do with anything?
There MAY be one mediatior between man and God, but where in the "bible" does it say that there' one mediator between man and CHRIST????
Must you be so insulting? Does it meet some sick need?
1 Tim 2:1-2 – because Jesus Christ is the one mediator between God and man (1 Tim. 2:5), many Protestants deny the Catholic belief that the saints on earth and in heaven can mediate on our behalf. But before Paul’s teaching about Jesus as the “one mediator,” Paul urges supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people. Paul is thus appealing for mediation from others besides Christ, the one mediator. Why?
1 Tim 2:3 – because this subordinate mediation is good and acceptable to God our Savior. Because God is our Father and we are His children, God invites us to participate in Christ’s role as mediator.
1 Tim. 2:5 – therefore, although Jesus Christ is the sole mediator between God and man, there are many intercessors (subordinate mediators).
1 Cor. 3:9 – God invites us to participate in Christ’s work because we are God’s “fellow workers” and one family in the body of Christ. God wants His children to participate. The phrase used to describe “fellow workers” is “sunergoi,” which literally means synergists, or cooperators with God in salvific matters. Does God need fellow workers? Of course not, but this shows how much He, as Father, loves His children. God wants us to work with Him.
Mark 16:20 – this is another example of how the Lord “worked with them” (“sunergountos”). God cooperates with us. Out of His eternal love, He invites our participation.
Rom. 8:28 – God “works for good with” (the Greek is “sunergei eis agathon”) those who love Him. We work as subordinate mediators.
2 Cor. 6:1 – “working together” (the Greek is “sunergountes”) with him, don’t accept His grace in vain. God allows us to participate in His work, not because He needs our help, but because He loves us and wants to exalt us in His Son. It is like the father who lets his child join him in carrying the groceries in the house. The father does not need help, but he invites the child to assist to raise up the child in dignity and love.
Heb. 12:1 – the “cloud of witnesses” (nephos marturon) that we are surrounded by is a great amphitheatre of witnesses to the earthly race, and they actively participate and cheer us (the runners) on, in our race to salvation.
1 Peter 2:5 – we are a holy priesthood, instructed to offer spiritual sacrifices to God. We are therefore subordinate priests to the Head Priest, but we are still priests who participate in Christ’s work of redemption.
Rev. 1:6, 5:10 – Jesus made us a kingdom of priests for God. Priests intercede through Christ on behalf of God’s people.
James 5:16; Proverbs 15:8, 29 – the prayers of the righteous (the saints) have powerful effects. This is why we ask for their prayers. How much more powerful are the saints’ prayers in heaven, in whom righteousness has been perfected.
1 Tim 2:5-6 – therefore, it is because Jesus Christ is the one mediator before God that we can be subordinate mediators. Jesus is the reason. The Catholic position thus gives Jesus the most glory. He does it all but loves us so much He desires our participation.

Nah, you're wrong. The absolute WORST examples of Bible MSS are the pitifully small Western (catholic) and the Alexandrian (which is pretty much the same thing), while the VAST MAJORITY of MSS are the Byzantian Family which represents the "cloud of witnesses" to the truth. We will have to agree to disagree!
KJV-ism is one of the worst IDOLATRIES in all of Christiandom, keeping people like me away from Christ for decades.![]()
So what? It seems good to the Holy Spirit and to me to point out how blasphemous it is for catholics to claim the prerogatives which belong to God alone...does THAT qualify me to tell God what to do?WRONG.
First of all -Jesus told the leaders of His Church that the Holy Spirit would guide them to ALL Truth (John 16:12-15).
We see a prime example of this at the Council of Jerusalem in Acts 15. The Apostles made an unprecedented decision to NOT require on the believers in Antioch and beyond to observe aspects of the Law.
Their Letter said:
“It seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to US not to burden you with anything beyond the following requirements:” (Acts 15:28).
We see the guidance of the Holy Spirit again 300 years later when the Church declared the Canon of Scripture (383 AD).
“WHATEVER YOU BIND on earth shall be bound in heaven; and WHATEVER YOU LOOSE on earth shall be loosed in heaven" (Matt 16:19, 18:18).
Jesus didn’t say “ALREADY bound”.
He said, “SHALL BE bound” . .
Mary died and her next conscious thought will be the sound of the trumpet at the Resurrection of the Just.Ellen G. White, a mere woman, IS @Phoneman777 @amigo de christo @David in NJ goddess. However, they accuse Catholics of making Mary our goddess.
Laugh all you want, but the party's soon going to be over for catholicism.
The "Mary" of catholicism is Satan impersonating her. That's why so much emphasis is shifted from Christ to her...because Satan hates Christ and wants His worship for himself. The Mary from catholicism is a disgusting attention whore control freak who will burn long before the rest of his followers pass out of existence in Fire Lake and it will be so satisfying to watch him, seeing that he's deceived so many throughout the ages, chief among them are poor deluded catholics who demote Christ. No, not a PA thing. I live in Las Vegas, and ONE priest at my church used to say the Hail Mary at Mass regularly. My mom absoLUTELY hated it! And as I looked around the church, I could see a LOT of parishioners who simply kept their mouths closed during those 15 seconds.
A few years ago, I read some article online (have looked for it since, but haven't found it) that the Vatican issued some document that discouraged priests from saying the Hail Mary during Mass.
Oh, don't hold back, Phoneman. Tell us what you REALLY think!
LOLOL! Catholicism has been going on for over 2000 years. It has prevailed against attacks from the nay-sayers since the beginning of Christ...Laugh all you want, but the party's soon going to be over for catholicism.
The KJV is obsolete. No one talks that way today. Plus, it has many errors. It’s the worst.Nah, you're wrong.
