If you accepted ALL the Lord' teaches in His Word concerning salvation.... you would know that those that continue in their sin are not saved and go to hell.

God is not the One deciding their fate... they are!
amen, John said they have never seen or known God (1john)
To get back in to right standing with the Lord, they will need to confess and forsake their sin and
lol. They were never in right standing with God.. John says they have never seen or known him SMH

Well said. Especially your last two sentences. Holding onto unforgiveness can become childish.

11When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I set aside childish ways. 1 Corinthians 13:11
I need to keep track of what thread i am in, I am sorry, seems we got off topic.

So you do what God does not do. You forgive whoever offends/harms you and have nothing more to do with them!
How is that forgiveness?
How are you following 1 Peter 4:8 Above all love each other deeply because love covers over a multitude of sins.

If you knew ALL of what God teaches in His Word concerning salvation, you would know that those who continue in their sin are no longer saved and if they die in that condition they go to hell.

In order to get back in right standing with the Lord... one must confess and forsake their sin (Proverbs 28:13, 1 John 1:9).... so if one that does me wrong admits they did wrong and forsakes their wrong doing.... then I would be willing to restore fellowship with them.

If they don't, I'm STILL going to forgive them due to what Jesus taught....

Matthew 6:14-15
For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

The reason Jesus said what He said in Matthew 6:14-15, is because of Galatians 6:7-8

Galatians 6:7-8 (see Gen 8:22)
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

Very simply put, if we sow unforgivness... we will reap unforgivness.

But, God's tells us to turn away from those that walkin in evil and darkness...

2 Timothy 3:1-5
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

It's one thing to forgive and yes we should forgive... but we are NOT told to let evil people continually damage us... doing that is slow!

But, if you believe you are supposed to allow evil people to do evil to you continually, over and over, and again and again... feel free to let them walk all over you and your family! thumbsup.gif

Why waste the time on revenge? You move forward.

Seeking revenge is sinful behavior!

Romans 12:19 (see Deuteronomy 32:35)
Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

Jesus says vengeance belongs to Him... so those trying to "get justice" and take revenge on those that have wronged them are taking something that belongs to the Lord and this is violating His will.

As I said you do what God does not do.
Your quote says we All must repent of our sins if we want God's forgiveness.
Yet you just forgive regardless of there any sorrow for offending you.
Very simply put, if we sow unforgivness... we will reap unforgivness
Please read what I have written.
I have constantly said that we are to imitate Jesus and like him being crucified, as he prayed for his killers so we should pray for those who have offended against us, more, we should open ourselves up to the influence of the spirit as we regularly pray for there good.

As you started your reply saying if you knew All of what God teaches.
Well if you knew what scripture teaches about forgiveness we wouldn't be having this conversation.

You don't accept God's instructions on this, therefore you lack His wisdom and revelation.

If you knew what Gal 6:7,8 says.... you'd know that if you sow unforgiveness... you would reap forgiveness. - God is NOT mocked, you will reap what you sow!

The Lord does the same thing... if you don't turn away from sowing to the flesh (sin) and start walking after the Spirit.,.. then you will reap corruption which is no longer being in right standing with the Lord.

Those that die in that condition go to hell.

I'm committed to following the Lord so it's HIS writings that I'm interested in reading.

There are millions and billions of "opinions" all across the net... they that aren't quoting what the Lord said in His Word should be discarded and ignored if one wants Truth... Jesus said God's Word IS Truth (John 17:17)

Please show where I have ever said this.

Said what?

So Jesus teaching on the need for repentance before there is forgiveness is what you belief.
John the baptist came preaching, ' Repent for the kingdom of God is near.'
Jesus taught about repentance see parable ' two men went to the temple to pray'
About repentance before forgiveness in luke 17:3×4 and in the parable of the unjust servant.
He practised it when on the cross, he didn't say I forgive them, but prayed that God would forgive them.

We're talking about people forgiving others.... if one does NOT forgive others of their sin, then their own sins will NOT be forgiven according to Jesus Christ. Case closed!

IN other words, if you don't forgive others... your own sins won't be forgiven.

Matthew 6:15
if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

No matter what one has done, we must forgive them because Jesus said if we do not, the Father will not forgive us of our sins. (this is reaping what we sow - God cannot be mocked, see Gal 6:7,8)

You don't reckon Jesus... was lying about this, do ya??? clueless-scratching.gif

Yet you neither read what he has said nor do it.

Re read what I put in post 114.
I wrote about repentance preceeding forgiveness, if an offend says they are sorry then we Must forgive.

What you ignore is Jesus's teaching on repentance.

if an offend says they are sorry then we Must forgive.

And... if they do NOT say they are sorry,,, we must forgive them anyway.

Because, if one sows un-forgiveness they shall reap un-forgiveness

God is NOT mocked... what you sow is what you reap.

On the Cross Jesus forgave all those folks that were killing Him and none of those folks told Him they were sorry about what they were doing to Him.,.. and He chose to forgive them anyway!

This is the example and the model we are called to.

It's a trick of the devil to take the position that we refuse to forgive someone unless they say they are sorry for what they did... and this results in our sins NOT being forgiven which causes people to go to hell.

Matthew 6:15
if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

On boy, an inability to u derstand English!
Jesus prayed, " Father, forgive them for they do not know what they are doing. "
He was asking, not telling, he did not forgive them.

In the same way he does not forgive people who will not repent of their sins and believe in him.

You could say, He forgave them of their sins, He died for them

But he will not forgive them for rejecting his gift of salvation through unbelief.
