In a moment, in a twinkling of an eye-we shall be raised.. That would mean all of us.
Shall be, not yet. All of them walking with Jesus in the end. None of them disobeying Him unto death.
Who said salvation depended on judgments of men?? Try to debate honestly.
Those who say James 2 is only speaking of being justified with men by their works, and not by God. It's saying James 2 is teaching us to seek the justification of men by works, that is not of God. Jesus rebukes that several times. (MAtthew 23)(John 5) Paul calls it putting on a fair show in the flesh. Jesus calls it putting on an appearance of outward righteousness, while being inwardly corrupt of heart and spirit.
Says you. If they had more than took a lookey loo at believers, and took the plunge and got saved, they would have done more than tasted.
How old are you. Please don't tell me you're just a kid under 30 or 40.
? Can you cite a few times today you have done 'the righteousness of God'? Then explain why you cast aspersions on other posters and believers, that they somehow have not? Sounds delusional.
I've confessed living holy and without blame in Christ according to the Bible, and you confess being sinful and with blame from time to time.
I used to be double hearted like you, but I never looked down on nor mocked them with single hearted love and righteousness with God. I believe that is why God has delivered me from Romans 7 wretchedness to enter into Romans 8 blessedness of walking in the Spirit, and not walking after the flesh.
You however by doctrinal mechanics have become bitter and mocking against them that have wholly repented of dead works.
More falsehoods stream from your mouth as is come to be expected. Asking Jesus to save us is the antithesis of 'filthy'
Asking for salvation does nothing to be saved by. Repenting and believing Jesus is salvation and justification of life.
Being saved by the blood of Jesus is actually nothing like that. Really. He washes us and makes us clean. What can take away my sins? Nothing but the blood of Jesus. You show me your works without Jesus in you and I will show you Jesus works in us!
Then you are washed clean and living holy and without blame in Christ Jesus? Just say so and I will of course believe you. But then why not be a preacher of righteousness in Christ, rather than one of double heartedness for life?
Once again. Purposed twisting things of others into something stupid, in order to mock what others say.
For our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have had our conversation in the world, and more abundantly to you-ward.
Several times this does not apply to you. It's that mocking spirit you have against the righteous and blameless in Christ, that brings out the worst of you.
Cut the pretense. Have you sinned this year at all?
Once again mocking any mention of not being a confessed sinner such as yourself.
Says you. I am not sure how He will reward believers
You don't know the first principles of God's judgement in the Bible and of the doctrine of Christ? Why aren't you asking questions rather than making declarations of your own? Especially judging the teaching the others as true or false?
and if that is the big criteria be all end all for Him. I think He will look at if we gave our heart to Him or not.
Once again, you're only talking about what you think? No wonder my teaching of the Bible has no effect on you.
Are you sinless? Tell us. I still make mistakes and am not perfect yet. I do, however have a Lawyer before God. His name is Jesus.
I've confessed living holy and without blame in Christ according to the Bible, and you confess being sinful and with blame from time to time.
You don't believe the first is possible by any Christian, since you're not walking like Jesus as we ought. I do believe your confession of double heartedness in the faith of Christ.
Why then do you get offended when people believe your own confession of living sinfully at times?
Not sure what that means. Apparently you seem to think you have no bad habits or sins and other believers do
If you were to grow up and call sins with it is, God could help you repent of it.
When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
I have a bad habit chewing on my nails, but I am not now sinning with the devil in works of the flesh. Nor am I lusting for the world in my heart.
'It'? Take 100 people and have them define "it" and I wager we get 100 different answers. Whatever 'it' may be, those pretending to be sinless and pure as the driven snow are not it!
And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
If someone needs correction He gives it. Not you. You talk about filthy and sin in a vague way while making out as if you are pure.
Vague? I see your point. I try to be polite, but since you insist on straightforwardness, then I will oblige.
By your own confession of works as filthy rags and unrepenting sinning, you are still living filthy and sinful when you do such things.
You were saved when not a sinner? Do explain!
When saved we are no more sinners. The pure conversion of Jesus Christ is to become newborn babes holy and blameless in Christ. Neither our hearts nor lives are sinful at that time, because all things are now made new and all things are now of God.
By the perfect and pure new birth of God, the washed believer is now sinless as Jesus in whom is no sin, and ought walk that way with Him.
Those Christians claiming to be sinful and having sin in them, are not born of God nor in Christ. They still have some repenting and believing to do.
Jesus promises us liberty! We are free indeed.
And Christian doctrine of continued sinning from time to time preaches liberty that is service to corruption.
That's a mouthful. You are walking as He walked eh? Give details.
Unbelief from the heart in doing the righteousness of God. That is not the faith of Jesus. (Rom 10:10)
No, or present ones apparently!
This is the truth of the Bible. You speak of past sinning, as though it applied to the present for all Christians, because you are still doing past sins presently today.
You still don't know what it is to be wholly and purely newborn of God, where all things are now of God, and nothing is left of the devil. That's only because you don't believe in the perfect gospel and pure conversion of Jesus Christ for yourself. That's your problem of unbelief, not mine.
No, apparently you do not need to do better whatsoever, you have arrived at sinless perfection! One hopes you have not fooled anyone with that nonsense.
How many times does this make of mocking by unbelief of heart in the pure conversion of Jesus Christ?
Me either. All we can do is look at what we post. Any justification after being saved is not about salvation.
I would like to hear more about this. Are you saying being saved by God can be apart from being justified by Christ? Or are you saying our justification only has to do with works of ministry?
I agree, Jesus justified us. Those who imagine they run around justifying themselves are wrong though, of course.
True. It is God who judges the works and justifies or condemns the man.
Doing unrighteousness involves rejecting Jesus.
True. It begins with a heart of unbelief, that does not believe unto the righteousness of Jesus. It's the unbelief that says it is impossible to walk as Jesus walked. However, not all such unbelievers mock it like you.
