What Makes Ex-Christians Think They Once Were Christians?

Salvation is not probation.
Eternal life is not temporary life.
Jesus is the door. He is not a revolving door.

Salvation IS OF THE GLORIOUS LORD . but as pual once wrote , WOE to those trod the SON under foot .
He reminded the church do not take off from heeding HE who speaks from heaven .
NOW for salvation , LET OUR TRUST BE IN THE CHRIST OF GOD ALONE . THAT IS THE KEY .
Salvation is found IN HE ALONE . The gospel of BELIEVE YE IN HIM , MUST CONTINUE .
HE alone is the only name , the only ONE who can save .
And any love that is getting sold to us which omits the DIRE IMPORTANCE of having to BELIEVE ON CHRIST
to be saved , ITS A LIE and it aint love at all .
STAY TRENCHED IN THE TOTAL BELEIF that we are saved BY GRACE of GOD through FAITH IN CHRIST JESUS .
Do not let men sway us from THIS TRUE GOSPEL and unto this other so called love gospel which omits
the dire need to BELIEVE ON CHRIST .
That is what i am seeing a lot of folks run right too . THIS OTHER BROAD all INCLUSIVE GOSPLE
which simply teaches all anyone needs to have is love . YEAH , NOW WHAT KIND OF LOVE
would omit the DIRE NEED TO BELEIVE ON JESUS CHRIST . a hint , ITS COMING FROM THE WORLD and the dragon .
And what kind of love would honor sins and cliam other paths , other religions are fine .
The love that cometh of the world , of darkness would . AND THUS IT IS DISQUALIFIED as charity .
Cause the last time i checked , CHARITY REJOICES IN THE TRUTH , not in lies , not in inquity . IN THE TRUTH .
so let each examine their hearts today and see what love they been following , what version of jesus or of God
they been seduced into hearing . What love are we following .
CAUSE IF THEY do not match , but contradict the BIBLCIAL VERSION . THEY BE FALSE . and thus SALVATION wont be found in the lie .

I see a lot of these so called testimonies being given by what is known as deconstruction .
They all came on with stories about how they once believed in and served Christ .
And yet , yet when i hear what turned them from Christ i see something .
THEY had the wrong mindset of the gospel and of Christ . Its like they truly never knew HIM at all .
They had some head knowledge but never seemed to really know HIM ....

John 6:40 - For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.

These many people in Matthew 7:22-23 were not genuine believers. Jesus never knew them which means they were never saved.

JESUS IS THE SHEPARD OF THE SHEEP . And the sheep hear his voice and another jesus created of men they will not follow nor heed
For they will not heed the voice of strangers . If our version of JESUS
seems to be accepting of sins , accepting of all paths and all religoins as valid paths to GOD . IT AINT NO JESUS I EVER SEEN .
Cause the JESUS of the bible , IMPLIED YE MUST BELEIVE ON HIM
and the JESUS of the bible gave us a stern warning about the man who had not on the WEDDING garment .
The man who came in WITHOUT THE WHITE GARMENTS , was not told , WOW YOU HAD LOVE
and even though you did not beleive on me , YE HAD LOVE . NOPE HE WAS CAST FLAT OUT into punishment .
My suggestion to all is , My reminder to all is , IF YA jesus , if ya love , if ya mindset
contradicts that which is written in the scriptures , that jesus , and the LOVE of GOD , true charity
that would REJOICE IN TRUTH not in inquity , OOOPS aint no salvation for those who do and did such a thing .
SO my reminder now is , ITS HIGH TIME WE GET IN BIBLES and stay refreshed IN THE BIBLE . and test all who do speak .

AND BELIEVES HIM . now we digging into the real root of the whole thing .
Adam and eve knew GOD existed , but in the end they chose to BELIEVE THE SERPENT , NOT GOD
and it cost them death just like GOD said it would .
SO NOW , i ask us to examine ALL , ALL things JESUS said .
Are we gonna do as adam and eve and trust in men who twist and OMIT what he said , as did the sepernt
OR ARE WE GONNA BELIEVE WHAT JESUS and the apostels TAUGHT . DO we BELIEVE .
WELL if we believe in GOD , IN CHRIST , WE BELEIVE WHAT GOD INSPIRED now dont we .
Be not like adam and eve , who had heard GOD but chose later to believe the serpent .
GOD SAID YE SHALL SURELY DIE , serpent had said NAY NAY ye shall NOT surely die .
THEY BELIEVED the sepent when he said NAY nay ye shall not surely die .
And how do i know they believed the serpent , CAUSE IF THEY HAD BELEIVED GOD
they would both have said , NO WAY , IF GOD SAID WE GONNA DIE THEN WE WILL DIE .
NOW LETS APPLY THAT TO WHAT JESUS TAUGHT .
And the last time i checked HE said , Those who beleive not WILL BE DAMNED .
FOR GOD so loved the world that all who do BELIEVE , take note that says BELIEVE in the SON
will NOT PERISH .
SO , are we gonna believe CHRIST , or men who try and say otherwise . NOW have a good long ponder on that .

Ever wonder why JOHN wrote and said HE who believes not the testimony that GOD gave of HIS SON
is calling GOD A LIAR .
OR he who DENIES JESUS as the CHRIST , IS ANTI CHRIST .
HE WHO HEARS ME , HEARS HIM WHO SENT ME . HE who rejects CHRIST , rejects GOD WHO SENT HIM .
I suggest we return to biblical warnings .

I've come across a few former professing Christians who have either lost their faith or renounced it.

Real scenario. It happens.

Heb 6:4-6 For concerning those who were once enlightened and tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Spirit, (5) and tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the age to come, (6) and then fell away, it is impossible to renew them again to repentance; seeing they crucify the Son of God for themselves again, and put him to open shame.

The latest statistics on Christianity in America are very sad:

I'm sure some were just 'cultural Christians' to start with, however, at least it helped to keep people on the straight and narrow more than they are now. Righteousness exalts a nation but sin brings the opposite and we're starting to see the consequences.

The question i want you to serious ponder on is this .
WHY do i not support the doctrines of OSAS .
Yet i fully agree if one comes out from amongst us , HE was never of us .

and still oppose some teachings of OSAS .

WILL YOU PLEASE pray about this and GET dug back again in the BIBLE just for you.
I aint accusing you , i am trying to get you to see something . WHY IS IT
i can embrace EVERY WARNING and EVERY PROMISE and i dont have to twist or omit ANYTHING .
THAT IS THE QUESTION . I say this not because i see you as an enemy , but rather , THINK MAN THINK

@1stCenturyLady, what do you say is the problem with this scenario. I was once baptized and believed Jesus could be true but wasn't sure. I, after, fell away and didn't believe in Him anymore because I was not very learned (a Christian who's house was built on a rock, which stands firm, forever and does not fall with a great crash when the wind blows) do you think I will go to hell? God showed himself to me after and it feels like he sealed me in permanently 'cause I can never reject Him ever again based on all that I know now. Thank you lots for your reply. :)

He has sealed us by His Holy Spirit, and a three fold cord is not EASILY broken, that is true. However that doesn't mean impossible. We need to strike the right balance between an inordinate fear of falling away and complacency. The warnings God gave us aren't for no reason, they were given because we need them.

The Lord had to bring me out of the churches to begin reading His word with fresh eyes. I think when we are under another yoke we are often imbibing the watered down and/or erroneous teachings that are mixed with the thoughts of man, without even realizing it. But when I shut out all other voices and learned to hear my Shepherd's voice and just read His pure word with the Holy Spirit opening it to me, without the addition of someone else's thoughts intruding in, well, that was like returning to the plumbline. So, Precious friend, Under Grace, "All things are possible"? Except for One Thing:

Impossible to "lose, forfeit, or otherwise throw away" God's Eternal Salvation - i.e.:

1) He Established This 'Eternal' Relationship With 'repentant' unbelievers, who "trusted
believed, and placed ( By Grace Through ) 100% faith in The Precious BLOOD ( By Death ),
Burial, and Resurrection of The LORD Jesus Christ, According To The Pure Scriptures.
(Ephesians 2:8-9; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Romans Chapters 3-5)

2) The "Sealing Of The Holy Spirit" is the Earnest Of The New Owner of said recipient Of
God's Eternal Salvation, Which Cannot be abrogated by one who has "less power" than
God! It would mean that said one "has MORE Power" Than God = Impossible!! Amen?
(Ephesians 1:13, ↓ 4:30 ↓; 1 Corinthians 3:16, 6:19)

Clear' Passages Of His 'Eternal' Operation On new-born babes In Christ 'are false' which,
of course, is Impossible!:

He has sealed us by His Holy Spirit, and a three fold cord is not EASILY broken, that is true. However that doesn't mean impossible. We need to strike the right balance between an inordinate fear of falling away and complacency. The warnings God gave us aren't for no reason, they were given because we need them.

2 Corinthians 1:22 - who also has sealed us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee.

2 Corinthians 5:5 - Now He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who also has given us the Spirit as a guarantee.

Ephesians 1:13 - In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, 14 who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.

Ephesians 4:30 - And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

I'm not finding the words "unsealed" anywhere in scripture. There are genuine Christians and there are "nominal/pseudo" Christians. There are genuine believers and there are make believers mixed together in various churches and on various Christian forum sites. I'm convinced that those who permanently fall away had a faith that was never firmly rooted and established in the gospel to begin with. (1 John 2:19)

1 Corinthians 15:1 - Now, brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word, I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. To believe in vain is to believe without cause or without effect, to no purpose. If, as some are saying in Corinth, there is no resurrection, then faith is vain and worthless (vs. 14). The people who fail to hold fast to the word (the gospel) that Paul preached in 1 Corinthians 15:3-4, demonstrated that they "believed in vain" (did not truly believe).

Now of course, we should heed warnings from God, yet this does not mean that God's promises in regard to His saints is to be negated. Psalm 37:28 - For the Lord loves justice and does not forsake His saints; They are preserved forever, But the descendants of the wicked shall be cut off.

When Jesus was arrested, we see that the disciples were said to "fall away" and Peter even denied knowing Jesus three times! (Matthew 26:31-46) Of course, this was only a temporary weak moment for the remaining 11 disciples and not a permanent decision. In Proverbs 24:16, we read - For a righteous man may fall seven times and rise again, But the wicked shall fall by calamity.
