Only what the Bible says we must forgive. They would be the trespasses of each other.

Matthew 6:14-15
14 “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Trespasses are sins NOT unto death. They would be committing a trespass against one of the fruit of the Spirit.

No where does God demand us to do what He, Himself, will not do. Sins unto death are sins against the holy Laws of God such as the moral commandments of the last 6 of the Ten Commandments. If a Christian brother commits one of them, we are not even to pray for them or even have lunch with them.

Amen to this.........

Matthew 6:14-15
14 “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Matthew, only God can forgive the sins of unbelief in him & the rejection of his free gift of salvation.

We had better! Forgiveness is one of the treasures we can store up in heaven Matthew. Jesus included it in his model prayer, that our forgiveness is a requirement for being forgiven.

Agreed. We are to forgive 70X7. If we are also to not keep an account of the wrongs against us that number becomes incalculable.

Basically we are to love others as ourselves...and if we judge a person, we are judging ourselves in another given situation.

I think it's important to treat people as people...in their weakness...acknowledging our own weakness and dependence on the Lord for His guidance and strength. Perhaps we can arrive at something deeper than just the wrongs we do. Maybe, through all the chaos of personal interactions we can gets some things right, at least. :)

I read Matthew 9 several times and have no idea why you posted an image of it with your question? :contemplate:
Showing biblical pictures makes it difficult for people to argue with you. I just only recently realized it.

Very good post Episkopos. One has to admit though, it is not always easy.
