It was written to the Ephesians.

And James was written too the twelve tribes of Israel
That's nothing like @Lizbeth said however. We know we are His by His Spirit within us. This is how I know. It's not because we have good opinions of our behavior, it's not because we think we conform to some "Law", but because we know, that is, we have relationship with our Creator.

Why the need to cheapen this to be full of dead men's bones? The Holy Spirit gives us life, not death. It's a different life, not like the old life, and knowing Him. Otherwise, how are not not simply continuing in dead works?

Being Christian is about knowing God, and being alive in Him, and being a different person because of that.

Much love!
how do you know that you’ve not just found a good coping mechanism?

Oh, you believe my avatar implies I’m waiting on a flesh Jesus to return.
I am asking you, have you become disheartened? Are you beginning to ask the Scriptures questions--since you mentioned that it might be a mere coping mechanism?

My confidence in God grows daily, my confidence in men dies daily.

This is my best answer.

You said you moved away from organized religion-what is it-and what are you embracing now?
Do you believe the Saints is a reference too all who claim Christ as Lord?

I’m not asking for 1500 years of commentary, I’m asking you.
