Maybe like a game of poker. Hoping Taiwan surrenders versus being destroyed. I am not sure the Chinese CCP cares to maintain Taiwan in a state of limbo for long. They may be willing to invade and bring down the government, destroy to rebuild it again, as long as the destruction is not too deep.

JB thinned our military to hear tell it. Maybe our enemies are threatening war or going to war because they know America will respond militarily.

Sadly the USA is in a death spiral economically and all of it's own making, regarding the enemy within. Joe Biden is a total moron who is working to destroy the USA just as Obama was and baby Bush !

Don't second guess China either. It is now the SOLE superpower in the world. Communist China has already "invaded" Taiwan by infiltrating its own agents and also manipulating the politicians and people. There is such a thing as "asymmetrical warfare" and "cyber warfare". China could easily invade Taiwan militarily but the Chinese always play the "long game".
Unlike Western politicians who actively worked to make China the strongest nation in the world and destroyed their own countries in the bargain. And the USA is now simply a toothless tiger. That is why it has to fight a proxy war through Ukraine (which is losing regardless of the billions of dollars and unlimited arms and ammunition).

And you also know why it will not happen. When the entire election "machinery" of a country like the USA has been corrupted and no one has cleaned up the mess, there will be no more free and fair elections. The next presidential election will also be stolen. Is there a remedy? Sure. But it is a very drastic remedy and absolutely no one has the guts to implement it.

A talk radio host last week was reviewing the Trump court appearance.
The judge and DA are corrupt. Biden supporters and publicly Anti-Trump.
The host said if we don't know Obama is the shadow president by now, we're asleep.

The CCP never had Taiwan as part of China. Not for a single day since they won the war for the mainland have they had authority over Taiwan. Nor before.
Also if they wish to grab Taiwan and say it is its own- they should give Mongolia and Tibet back which were not their own.

I wish the democratic ROC would actually win the Chinese Civil War and reclaim the mainland. Then maybe lots of Asia's problems would finally be resolved!
