It is what Stephen saw. Right before being stoned for saying God doesn’t dwell in temples made with hands. Calling it out over and over.

Stephen calling upon God. Stephen didn’t see a mirage. He saw the Glory of God, he saw heaven open, he saw that hidden pearl created after the likeness of God, within the Kingdom of God

Acts 7:55-56 KBut he, being full of the Holy Spirit, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God, [56] And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.

Where was the treasure?
In Saul would be transformed, translated to Paul.
I get you may say no. But that was what Stephen was calling out, before Stephen saw Heaven open, and Christ ruling in the Kingdom of God. He saw what Christ would do, as “standing as King” in the Kingdom of God. Not in temples made wi
The ministration of the Spirit. Stephen “I see heaven open and The son standing on the right hand of God.”

to me, the knowledge that to be absent from the body is to be present with the lord is the treasure

Having the promise I will never perish, but I will live forever is the treasure

Being adopted as Gods child is the treasure

Being spared from Gods wrath is the treasure

Knowing I will be resurrected By Christ, and not delivered to him for judgment is the treasure.

Having every spiritual blessing, and an inheritance from above that is incorruptible and will never fade away is my treasure.

there are so many things we recieve at the moment of salvation. All of them are treasures immeasurable from the God above
Where was what Stephen saw?
Was Christ, the Glory of God in the temple not made with hands?

The veil was the curtain between the most holy place. where the presence of God was. and the Holy Place. where only the priests were. No one could have access to God except once a year when the high priest on the day of atonement would go through the veil and make atonement for the sin of the people.
Where the presence of God is. This is the holiest of Holy. In that which is incorruptible. Given access…is a Gift.

So is your treasure in yourself…or to Live is Christ?
to live is christ

eph 1:
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, 4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, 5 having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, 6 to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.
7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace

1 Peter 1
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, 5 who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

These are pormises of God.. Not in myself. but in him This is the reason I can live in Christ.. Because of the treasure he has already given me

Where was what Stephen saw?
I have heard many stories of people who right before they died. said they saw Jesus int the room with them. to me this would be the same.. God showed himself to Stephen as he died.. It was also a witness to those who were stoning him, Some, Including saul, who would remember this later when he saw Christ himself on the way to kill more christians

Was Christ, the Glory of God in the temple not made with hands?

At the time, the presence of God was ONLY in the inner room, the inner room was separated by a barrier, the veil.

Today the presence of God and our access to him is wherever we are..

Yes! We have access as a gift because we have been justified.. Like paul said.

2 Corinthians 4:12-16 So then death works in us, but life in you. [13] We having the same spirit of faith, (reminds me of Romans 5, having access through the same spirit) according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak; [14] Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you. [15] For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace (that we stand upon) might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God. [16] For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. (Be you reconciled unto God. What has given us the ministration of the Spirit, towards you.”

To be blunt I’m trying to say the treasure Stephen saw was in Saul ready to be revealed: “Lord, you know how I consented to the stoning of my brother Stephen.”

but what does that have to do with my treasure, and your treasure.

that is the part I am not undertstanding
Would this help?
“Instead of I have treasure hidden in me.”
The treasure you seek (or should seek) is in epi?

And the treasure epi should seek is in you.

Or that is my opinion…

Or my treasure is in heaven?

Epi cant forgive me of my sins
Epi can justify me wiht his blood
Epi can not reconcile me to God
Epi can give me eternal life
Epi can not give me every spiritual blessing that is in heaven,
Epi can not save me,
Epi can not prepair a place for me in heaven.

I can go on and on and on

And I can not do these things for you or Epi either

Our hope is in Christ. Not in other humans..
