The spiritually mature are not to consider that they have attained brother. That is very clear and very simply said in that scripture. And if anyone is truly mature (perfect) that is the mind they will have, since that is the mind that would be indicative of their maturity.
This is about the perfection in Christ.....on a purity level. On that level one has the mind of Christ...but not the maturity that goes along with withstanding all the wiles of the devil. That takes experience...and having come through trials and tribulations.

There is no half-perfection of Christ..... or half mind of Christ...or half holiness. There is a partial maturity...which is called immaturity.

An apple is fully an apple in its immature state. A newborn baby is fully a human being.

The difference is that a newborn in the Spirit can only grow into a spiritual maturity by going to get the full measure of grace. Otherwise all we get are mature people but without the spiritual dimension. We can only grow up to be something according to our environment.

Why don't we have orange trees in the arctic? The environment is wrong...not conducive to the life of that tree.

Why can't we just grow up into Christ with one initial downpayment of grace? (and this is important) Because without the dimension of the Spirit that we BUY with all we have ....we only form a character that is temporal in nature. Without the crossing over into the spiritual realm, on judgment day our works will burn up as they are not pure. Without being crucified in the outer man we grow in the outer man religious part of us along with the inner man of faith...and the weeds choke out the wheat...so that no fruit is permitted to grow. That is unless we are crucified and made to walk in the heavenly dimension IN Christ.

When our weeds are taken away, the wheat is free to grow. When we are crucified with Christ the inner man can be joined to God in Christ and bear a spiritual and eternal fruit.

Once one understands how the kingdom realm is entered into and walked in...then we will see that the flesh is just in the way and needs to be pulled out by the roots. Go to the cross...

Paul wrote that we actually ARE in the spirit if we have the Spirit. But of course there are varying degrees and depths as we go along and as we grow & mature in the Lord (like Ezekiel in the river), and even some may be carried along by the Spirit at times for God's purposes, but not stay there. And there are some spiritual experiences that are only temporary because in order stay "there" we'd either have to be translated or our bodies would have to die.

Rom 8:9
But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

Keep following/obeying/seeking Jesus and He will lead us to where He wants us to be, whatever depth that might be at the time we depart this life. Some may get fully immersed in that river, others may only be up to their kneecaps by the time they die, but as long as each one is on the narrow path of carrying their cross, and in the will of God for THEM, that is what matters. You have said yourself not everyone is called to this "higher walk". Sometimes I wonder if it might even be a matter of how much suffering one has happened to have endured in this life....that is not generally subject to the control of the individual. For example in some nations where persecution of Christians is an everyday occurrence, I'm sure we'd find more mature believers there, than in the west.

You need to talk to the "Grateful" lady' She thought I had destroyed her entire religion..causing a cosmic shift in the order in the universe because I intimated that Paul was not ALWAYS in the Spirit.

Find her among the cribs...if you can escape yours. She never listens to me. I think I scare her
Where does the Bible say Paul was not in the spirit ? Got Scripture ?

You have to point people to the cross..and then go there to have your flesh dealt with.

Smart enough to realize that the flesh is looking to be saved...but cannot be. It needs to be crucified on the cross of Christ.

Praise the Lord!

You need this constant reminder because you are still a babe.

You are paranoid about losing your own beliefs. Don't be. Have confidence in God.

One day, if you ever grow a little you will see that you need to go beyond always being afraid about beliefs. Go forward....leave the crib behind. Move on into perfection.

You are not talking about faith but beliefs. You are still on a religious level of religion.

You need to start discerning the time with your watch. Discern the time.

You need to go to a mirror...and continue telling yourself....believe in Jesus. And one day you actually might do so! :vgood:
Clearly you cannot handle meat and still need milk- meat has choked your understanding.

1 Corinthians 3
Brothers and sisters, I could not address you as people who live by the Spirit but as people who are still worldly—mere infants in Christ. 2 I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it. Indeed, you are still not ready. 3 You are still worldly. For since there is jealousy and quarreling among you, are you not worldly?

Hebrews 5
In fact, though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the elementary truths of God’s word all over again. You need milk, not solid food! 13 Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness. 14 But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.

hope this helps !!!

"The flesh looking to be saved?" One would have to be totally stupid to believe or teach such nonsense. But you are fantasizing about other Christians because you imagine you have a grasp of Gospel Truth. When in fact you deny Gospel Truth.

I'm still waiting for him to define the gospel as I've asked him several times. I don't think he understands the gospel.

You are absolutely correct. Episkopos does not understand the Gospel at all. So he really needs to go back to square one and see exactly what the New Testament reveals. And if you think you know the Gospel Episkopos, kindly lay it out for us in full detail so that we may put this matter to rest.

The cross itself is a representation of something far more complex than what you have been given.
do tell.

I am also still waiting for you to explain what jesus meant

14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15 that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

Can you help us please?
