what did Jesus mean when he said he who believes is not condemned, he who does not believe is condemned already?
Is this not who God said he would have mercy on?

You can claim to be saved by your beliefs...but that's still self-righteousness. it's you that's doing the naming and claiming. It's you that's doing the justifying.

Whose else? Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. And whose righteousness are we to hunger and thirst for, and is promised if we believe? That's righteousness by faith.
I am assuming you are aware of the contradiction here. But I would ask, if we love, and therefore fulfilling the law as per scripture, are we not keeping the law as required?
You are confusing righteousnesses and faiths. We seek His kingdom to walk where He is...in Him. We are then covered by His righteousness. But that righteousness is always His. That holiness is always His.
The righteousness of faith is based on the law of righteousness..not holiness.
Yes...love fulfills the law...according to righteousness.

So I have been hearing from some here, and I don't wish to go back over the entire thread to find one or two posts, but one maybe two have said that we are not holy. I would take issue with this. What is it that makes something holy? For example, what made the burning bush and the surrounding area holy? Was it not God's presence? What was it that made the inner compartment of the temple and of the sanctuary... The holy of holies... Holy? Was it not God's presence? Now please consider this...
KJV 1 Corinthians 3:16-17

17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
Now, a further question. What was it that made the temple such as that Jesus could say, KJV Matthew 23:38
38 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.
It was because the only thing that made that temple holy was the presence of Jesus Himself, and it became desolate, it ceased from becoming God's house, when the Son left that place for the last time and didn't return.
We are holy, so long as we have the Spirit of God abiding in us. It is the presence of God that makes us holy, not our attributes or behavior or our deportment before men, nor any of our works, but Christ in us, the hope of glory.

I think you are complicating things unnecessarily. Righteousness is not only imputed, but also imparted. It's a gift. It's that gift of His righteousness that creates in us the image of Christ. It is not our righteousness that makes us Christlike... It can only be His, after all, it is His Spirit working in us, therefore it must be His righteousness that we also receive by faith. The righteousness we receive we receive by receiving Him.
You are still confusing righteousnesses. We are given grace for our faith. And with that grace comes a higher righteousness....and a greater faith. From faith to faith.
It's only complicated if you have never seen a 2 storey house with a ground floor and a second floor. We go into the house and into the second storey by taking the stairs we find on the ground floor. The ground floor is the righteousness of faith. The second floor is the righteousness of Christ.
Think and pray on it. Maybe God will give a vision to you....

The righteousness of faith? I would like you to show me from scripture what that looks like. Righteousness by faith is Christ's righteousness imputed and imparted. It is the only righteousness we need, and the only righteousness worth seeking. It is the righteousness of Christ Himself. The more we receive of His Spirit, the more we receive of His righteousness.

I was thinking of the two sections of the temple, the holy place and the holy of holies…
I was also thinking of Esther having to wait in the court for the scepter to be extended, which showed she had found favor to enter the throne room. The DOOR to the room was open or the king wouldn’t have seen her standing there. But she couldn’t freely waltz in. Even if the door was shut and suddenly split in two from top to bottom and fell clean off its hinges, she would still have to touch the scepter to enter.

But jesus said it over and over.
In john 3 he said it when he told us how to be born again
In john 4 he said it to the woman at the well. If we ask in faith, he will give us living water flowing to eternal life
In john 5 he said he who hears my words and believes (has faith) will not die. But has eternal life. He has passed from life to death, and will NOT come to judgement
In John 6, he said seek for the food which does not perish. Whoever eats will never hunger or thirst. Will live forever. Will never die, will be ressurected. And again has eternal life.
All the way in John 1. John says but as many as has recieved him to THEM he gave th e power to become sons of God.
Jesus can’t contradict himself. Yes he said other things. But we have to interpret all he said to make them in agreement, not contradictory. Thats how the word interprets itself

How am I justifying, if my faith is in Christ to justify me? You make no sense.
Is it not you who are justifying yourself?
Jesus said the only way to the father is through him. Not how good I am. Not what I do. But through him.

The priests went always into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the service of God. But into the second ( through the veil) went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people:.
The Holy Ghost was signifying by this, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing.
The first tabernacle was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience. ( the high priest had to return every year to offer sacrifices again.)

But Christ came by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands. ( not of this earthly building) and not by the blood of goats and calves, but by the sacrifice of His own blood He entered in once into the Holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. ( He entered in once, to the true tabernacle of God in heaven)
Christ did not enter into the holy places made with hands, ( they are figures of the true) but into heaven itself, to appear in the presence of God for us. ( our forerunner entered)
Christ did not have to suffer often for us, as the high priest had to enter into the holy place every year with the blood of others. But Christ appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself.
We have boldness therefore to enter into the Holiest by the blood of Jesus Christ, by a new and living way, which He has consecrated for us, ( made sacred/sanctified) through the veil, that is through His flesh.
We have an high priest over the house of God; Which lets us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an EVIL CONSCIENCE, and our bodies washed with pure water. (The first tabernacle made on earth, was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience. THEY REMAINED IN AN EVIL CONSCIENCE.)
Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works.
He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: of how much sorer punishment, do you suppose, shall he be thought worthy, who has trodden under foot the Son of God, and has counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and has done despite unto the Spirit of grace? ( they who are the same as those of the first tabernacle, their conscience not made perfect through their earthly following of sacrifices, in an evil conscience, their hearts not sprinkled, not washed in pure water by our High Priest Jesus Christ.)
We have need of patience, that, after we have done the will of God, we might receive the promise. ( By his own blood He entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. For us to receive the promise of eternal redemption, we need to do the will of God and have need of patience.)
Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul. ( believing all of these testimonies and warnings of the Lord, our true High Priest.)
Hebrews 9:11 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;
12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

This is a good deed, in the verses below. ( it is also how we receive the Son and the Father, and it is then the only way to the Father, through the Son)
Matthew 18:4 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
Luke 9:48 And said unto them, Whosoever shall receive this child in my name receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me receiveth him that sent me: for he that is least among you all, the same shall be great.

We do not love 100% of the time. We still have that flesh we war with. and need to take care of self. so that why we can't keep the law as required
But Jesus did say in the law of love is the law and prophets.. Thats how we keep the law in a moment of time.. .

Those are people al;ready in the kingdom of God
they are not those tryign to get in by their works.. That would put us under law not grace
The example of Jesus to follow ( not people to follow or their words/ideas) is how He abode in the love of the Father, keeping always, and we abide in His love if we keep the same.
John 15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.
1 John 2:10 He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.
1 John 3:14 We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.
Jude 1:21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
Gordon: "Luke 9:48 And said unto them, Whosoever shall receive this child in my name receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me receiveth him that sent me: for he that is least among you all, the same shall be great."
To receive the Son they have to receive Him humbly, as a little child. ( then they are in the Kingdom, when they have received that way)
Other verse testifying how to receive Christ ( the Word) meekly to save our souls.
Matthew 11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
Philippians 2:8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
James 1:21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
