when one does a word study,
Take heed:
“…thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear: For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.” (Romans 11:20-21)
Take heed!

when one does a word study,
Never! Jesus was, is and will always be my holiness and righteousness. My good deeds are not to keep what God gave me and keeps in heaven reserved for me.Amen!
And we received that gift when we first believed.
But our holy and righteous status (that was freely given unto us when we first believed) must be kept that way by our behavior moving forward in our walk in the faith!
“Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.” (Romans 6:12-13)
“Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?” (Romans 6:16)
You must serve in obedience unto righteousness.
In these things you continue in the faith grounded and settled (Colossians 1:23).
So you believe you can lose your salvation?Take heed:

Never!
So you believe you can lose your salvation?
This is in response to Johann. So let's quote the verse from the KJB in its context and see what Paul is saying:The reason you are sinning and confessing is because you don't believe this yet. Roman 6:22 Look at the verse. and notice this....>"Being made free from sin". And yet, you are sinning and confessing.
Does this mean that a Christian will never sin? Absolutely not.
I'm aware of this @Enoch111 and thank you, also there is a heretical teaching that our Lord Christ Jesus became sin in a LITERAL sense, sin personified, which is contrary to scripture. This is in response to Johann. So let's quote the verse from the KJB in its context and see what Paul is saying:
ROMANS 6: SIN SHALL NOT HAVE DOMINION OVER YOU (v 14)
11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. 12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. 13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. 14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. 15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. 16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. 18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.
When you read this entire passage, you can see that Paul's presumption is that a saint can in fact sin, but because he or she has believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, and therefore has the indwelling Holy Spirit, the sin nature does not have dominion or authority over the believer. Also when a sinner repents, that person becomes the servant of Christ, hence the "servant of righteousness", and is no longer the servant of his sin nature. [Note: Paul uses the word "sin" for the sin nature]
Does this mean that a Christian will never sin? Absolutely not. Yet "Behold" is distorting the truth by suggesting that "being made free from sin" equals sinless perfection and "you don't believe this yet" if you sin and confess your sins. So there is no doubt that by distorting this teaching, "Behold" is in fact sinning, and perverting Gospel truth.
The apostle John makes it crystal clear in his first epistle that Christians can and do sin and must deal with their present sins (and confession is a part of that). But "Behold" is giving people the false doctrine of Hyper Grace, that no Christian should ever be sinning nor confessing his sins. That you do not have to deal with you present sins.
my bible says no
I confess my sins on a daily basis
that's where sanctification comes in.
Don't be a hypocrite, living in a state of sin, as opposing to a believer's committing acts of sin[not habitually] is totally different, don't you sin in words, thoughts and deeds? You got the wrong Bible.
“Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin… he cannot sin, because he is born of God.” (1 John 3:9)
You sin every day?
“What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?” (Romans 6:1-2)
Living in sin every day?
So Christ died and suffered a horrible death so you could sin everyday freely without consequences?
Oooookay….

This kind of mischaracterization reflects your own frustration in combating a view that I don't see that you understand. No one here argues for some supposed license to sin, and no one is defending their supposed right to sin.As far as I can tell “sanctification” is a word perverted by sinners who are disguised as Christians who serve their sinful flesh. Their definition of sanctification seems to be = license to sin while wearing the Holy badge.
1 John 1:8 - if we say that we have no sin, (present tense) we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, (past tense) we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.Don't be a hypocrite, living in a state of sin, as committing acts of sin is totally different, you don't sin in words, thoughts and deeds?
Gill answers powerfully....if I don't find encouragement here, I am always encouraged by the Scriptures.1 John 1:8 - if we say that we have no sin, (present tense) we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, (past tense) we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.
Blah blah blah….
No scriptures of course.
Just the cries of a sectarian.
don't you sin in words, thoughts and deeds?
a time process in completing the renewing of the mind
you at “ least” make an excellent “ Springboard”
your practiced, patented and lame answer to everything....
