The Devil's gospel is......... to add yourself to the Cross, as if the blood of Jesus and His death only starts your salvation, and then its up to you to complete it by perfomance. (Works) or Water.
This false gospel, has many subtle branches, and many denominations and all heretics preach some version of : The Cross + your self effort
= Salvation.
It can be as the Catholics and JW's do it....for example....they both teach that WATER has to be a part of God's Salvation, and if the water is not involved then Salvation is impossible.

Well, tell that to the CROSS. !

So To recognize any of these cults and heretics, all you have to do is realize that if these cults and heretics are not giving Christ alone all the credit for Salvation, including finishing it, then, you are dealing with a cult or a heretic.

Your rejection of Water Baptism is a rejection if Christ because water is the means that HE instituted (Matt. 28:19, Mark 16:16, John 3:5, John 3:22, Eph. 4:5, Col. 2:11-12, 1 Pet. 3:21).

Catholics understand this and therefore do as Christ commands (Matt. 28:19).
We also understand that we’re not saved BY the water of Baptism – but THROUGH water of Baptism, as we are told in 1Per. 3:21.

Finally - our cooperation (sunergos) with God's grace is necessary for our salvation.
God doesn't drag ANYBODY into Heaven - kicking and screaming against their will.

= When you "study" the NT.......... notice the verses that occur before the Cross of Christ is risen, and be careful to not apply many of them , doctrinally, and sometimes literally, to the born again SAINT, as OBVIOUSLY..... JESUS was not talking to the BORN AGAIN in those PRE-CROSS verses., unless they are prophetic, such as later verses in Matthew.
Jesus came to the "house of Israel", and so, many verses are for THEM, and not doctrinally correct for the Body of Christ.
And that includes the OLD TESTAMENT, as it was given before the Cross was Raised.
See, everything CHANGED once that NEW COVENANT came into POWER, especially concerning how God started dealing with GENTILES using the Apostle Paul's DOCTRINE.

This is generally, provided, during a Mainline Denomination Church service.
You are not familar with that, apparently.......but no matter., as its the word of God and "faith comes by hearing it", that is the "alter call" in the heart of a person who is coming to Christ by faith.
And THAT is a work of the Holy Spirit.
Can happen in Church.

Well then please explain to all of us why the writer included HIMSELF in the warning:

“For if WE sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.” (Hebrews 10:26-27)

If WE Christians sin willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth (Jesus!) there remains no more sacrifice for your new willful sin!
