You don't think that a person can work for someone and work with them? Do you think that employees work against their employers? (Not for long!)
Communication is nearly always a problem. The "with" is within the "for". ER/EE relationships are Not equivalent to a relationship with God

This is a false dichotomy. Are we supposed to be emotionless robots? Jesus said, repeating the Old Testament commands, "He said to him, “ ‘You shall love the Lord your God with 1) all your heart and with 2) all your soul and 3) with all your mind.’ This is the greatest and first commandment. And a second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’". (Matthew 22:37-39) And 1 John 4:8 says, "Whoever does not love does not know God, for God is love."

Clearly, emotions and feelings are as valid, if not more so, than our minds.
Clearly if our emotions of joy , peace , and etc feed the lusts of our flesh , then we got us a huge problem .
Too many are guided by emotions and not truth . Lambs joy and rejoice in truth
not in wordly lusts .

No. I do not think God wants idolatry, us accepting the map rather than take the territory. I don't think God wants us to own parchment and hold it dear. I believe he wants a proper relationship with us. Some say this is through Jesus and through Jesus only. Yet, others claim it is also through the parchment.

As for you, Daniel, keep these visions and their meaning a secret. Write down what you have seen and heard, then seal the scroll until the time of the end. Many will wander here and there, and knowledge will expand.
Daniel 12:4 (VOICE)
Aah, I understand Wrangler. So that frees you to worship God in the way you desire sir. You determine right and wrong Gen 3:5. Would you like to discuss the topic is the Bible really the word of God?

is the Bible really the word of God?
Sure but that is a different question than the OP.

I came across a website yesterday that claimed Jesus is the word of God. So, you see the growing dilemma, in addition to books not in the Bible that are also contain the word of God? Then there are my personal experiences with God and his words to me, which is obviously more than parchment, the word of God.

The use of the definite article, "the," implies exclusivity. For instance, this person is a murderer may be true. However, this person is the one who murdered the victim we were called about. At church, many Pastors say things like 'God told me' so and so. Then there are all these translations! There are lots of words God has spoken over the millenia and I think you got yourself a problem using terms of exclusivity. So, it makes me wonder what your agenda is, what is your motive for the inquiry? This, especially in light of changing subjects from what the Bible is, which is open ended, to the yes or no question.

You use phrases like "too many" very often. What is your method to select "too many", other than simply judging them without proof?

The whole Bible is fascinating of course, but people should stay focussed on the gospels more than any other part of it because-
Jesus said:-"You have one teacher, me" (Matt 23:10)
"And the common people heard him gladly" (Mark 12:37)
"Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith" (Heb 12:2)

That's why Paul had to warn people not to get bogged down in long-winded intense theology-
Paul said - "I am worried lest you be led astray from the simplicity of Christ" (2 Cor 11:3)
You could have added that to my thread that implies over intellectualizing the gospel can ruin it. It is from the heart that counts.

The Word is Jesus sir Jn 1:1 a title given him from the beginning, and he has always served as God's spokesman. God's word of truth is the Bible sir Jn 17:17. Words have different meanings according to context.

You used map, and parchment, which I discerned you meant the Bible, I have been accused by others as well that we Christians idolize it, and of course that is fine, but the truth is, you have no written word, and you stated about your personal experiences with God, and His words to you, which means you have no written word, and you will pursue whatever your god has spoken to you, if you truly serve him.

We do not serve our own personal desire to serve God as we see fit, we follow His manual, and of course either the Bible is God's word or it is not. If it is not, you are doing correctly, but if it is, and god has told you differently than what it teaches, then if you disobey the Bible, over what you have been told, you have sinned sir. When the Bible was completed, God no longer spoke with humans, and He didn't have individual prophets after that either, with the birth of the Christian faith, He dealt through a governing body Acts 15:1,2

You do not see the contradiction of what you just wrote?
We do not serve our own personal desire to serve God as we see fit, we follow His manual
I serve the living God, not parchment.

Some he tells go West. Some he tells to go East. There is not one way to serve and this is not a contradiction.

The written record is good, as far as written records go but they do not displace an actual relationship with the living God.

That also is no answer.
The all inclusive go spell is this idea that God honors all paths . As in all religoins . And that HE honors certain sins too
like homosexuality for example . These are false teachers . THERE is only one way to be saved , BELIEVE IN JESUS
and GOD nor Christ honor sin either . These teachers have been lying to us and i intend to expose them and their lie .

(2 Timothy 3:16-17) 16 All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work.

(2 Peter 1:21) For prophecy was at no time brought by man’s will, but men spoke from God as they were borne along by holy spirit.

(Proverbs 3:5-6) . . .Trust in Jehovah with all your heart and do not lean upon your own understanding. 6 In all your ways take notice of him, and he himself will make your paths straight.

(Matthew 24:45) . . .“Who really is the faithful and discreet slave whom his master appointed over his domestics, to give them their food at the proper time?. . .

(1 John 5:3) . . .For this is what the love of God means, that we observe his commandments; and yet his commandments are not burdensome,

Yes. Scripture is not God to be worshipped.
(Matthew 4:10) . . .Jesus said to him: . . . it is written: ‘It is Jehovah your God you must worship, and it is to him alone you must render sacred service.’”
