The NIV is a joke.Is the King James Version the Only Divinely Inspired Version? - NIV Bible
Is the King James Version (KJV) the only divinely inspired English Bible? No. In fact, the Bible scholars who translated the KJV did not support this “King James Only” belief.1 In the original KJV Bible there was a lengthy introduction titled, “The translators to the reader.” In this...www.thenivbible.com
Right, it just shows that we are living in the last days where nobody believes God’s Word anymore.Did you see the results of your poll?
You have to be born again of water to see what the Scriptures say on this matter.nor is it talking about the Bible, surely
priceless, tyYou have to be born again of water to see what the Scriptures say on this matter.
ah well wadr ill pass on that,Peter talks about being born again by the Word (The Communicated Word).
1 Peter 1:22-25
22 Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:
23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
24 For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:
25 But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.”
1 Peter 2:2
”As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:”
Hebrews 5:13-14
13 ”For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.
14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.”
Romans 10:17
17 “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
18 But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.”
Context:
Romans 10:14-15
14 “How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!”
Luke 8:11-12
11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.
12 Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.”
Matthew 13:37
”He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;”
2 Timothy 3:16-17
16 ”All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.”
Jesus rebukes the Jews for breaking the following Scriptures which our LORD called “the word of God.”
- Matthew 15:6 - “he is not to honor his father or his mother. And thus you invalidated the word of God for the sake of your tradition.”
- Mark 7:13 - “thus invalidating the word of God by your tradition which you have handed down; and you do many things such as that.”
- John 10:35 - “If he called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken).”
So these things would not exist in Scripture if things are as you say, friend.
But in either case, the Bible does teach we can overcome sin in this life (See: 1 Peter 4:1-2, 2 Corinthians 7:1, Galatians 5:24).
So the thread OP is false. Many are simply not believing God’s Word (The Bible).
You did not address the verses I put forth to you.ppl who insist “Bible is Word” are literally telling you that they have not heard the Word yet
while also demonstrating that at the same time, in a weird way
i would run from those ppl
bc they are talking about Word and not Scripture, yes; which is why i dug up the first one that came to mind that mentions them both. There might be others, ones that even support your point? dunnoYou did not address the verses I put forth to you.
John 10:35 Lexicon: "If he called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken), is a possibility…but then it isnt too hard to see that diff root words are used for “Word” and “Scripture” there, also they are being conflated due to their proximity in the sentence, when it seems more likely that “and the Scripture cannot be broken” should go with “If He called them gods…” but regardless, why call them the same when the original language uses diff terms for them? someone will askYou did not address the verses I put forth to you.
see, no Pneuma in there anywhere (and most likely no “Scripture” either, when you go back to v15, “writings,” 2 Timothy 3:15 Lexicon: and that from childhood you have known the sacred writings which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. note how the english rendering “Scriptures” magically turns into its proper form, “writings,” in the lexicon2 Timothy 3:16-17

Do not focus a laser beam on the definition of the word. Read the whole verse in context. It’s saying the word of God are the Scriptures. In other words, in your mind right now you don’t want it to be true and so you will do anything to avoid such a truth. When in reality you should just be open to being wrong and read the chapter and pray about it with the Lord. That is the difference between us here.John 10:35 Lexicon: "If he called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken), is a possibility…but then it isnt too hard to see that diff root words are used for “Word” and “Scripture” there, also they are being conflated due to their proximity in the sentence, when it seems more likely that “and the Scripture cannot be broken” should go with “If He called them gods…” but regardless, why call them the same when the original language uses diff terms for them? someone will ask
ALL Scripture is given by inspiration of God. In-SPIRITED. INspired. If you are inspired by something you are moved by it. Same thing with Scripture. The Scriptures written because the author was moved by God to write them. Again, please go back carefully to the verses I posted to you this morning and meditate on them and pray over them (in that it could be saying as such). If so… you could be in grave error not knowing the power of God and how He truly operates.see, no Pneuma in there anywhere (and most likely no “Scripture” either, when you go back to v15, “writings,” 2 Timothy 3:15 Lexicon: and that from childhood you have known the sacred writings which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. note how the english rendering “Scriptures” magically turns into its proper form, “writings,” in the lexicon
now i dont mean this to be an argument against the sacredness (not “holiness”) of Scripture, ok; only note that they did not even have what we now deem “Scripture,” and they also had many other “writings” that they deemed “sacred,” which Paul even imported several into our “Scripture”
so imo we got scribes in our woodpile, see :)

wadr once you have heard Word you will no longer hold the perspective of "The Bible is Word"ALL Scripture is given by inspiration of God. In-SPIRITED. INspired. That again does not address the verse. You are speaking against the Word.wadr once you have heard Word you will no longer hold the perspective of "The Bible is Word"
ah well im ok with you believing that for now, if you likeThat again does not address the verse. You are speaking against the Word.
and you are in what is now commonly known as “dunning-kruger syndrome,” which i know is not very pleasant to hear maybe, but its something most believers go through i guessYou are speaking against the Word
