I believe every day is a day of worship and of our rest us in the Lord. Heb.4:1-4.
We can or cannot esteem one day above another but are warned not to pass judgment on those among us who do esteem. Rms.14:1-8

This is what Jesus said regarding the Ten Commandments. Mt 22:36-40.. ........37.thou shalt love the Lord they God with all they heart, and with all they soul, and with all they mind.............39. the second is like unto it,thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself..............

I think we need a day of rest each week, so God told us to rest one day each week.
When I was working I had to work Saturday and would sometimes need to work on a Sunday too but I always took Thursday as my day of rest when I just rested in ways that pleased me.

Sabbath keeping (with all it's rules and regulations) was part of a covenant with Israel (Exodus 16:23, 29; 31:12-18; 35:1-3; Leviticus 19:30; 23:2-3, 32; Numbers 15:32-36; 28:1-10; 29:39-40; I Chronicles. 23:30-31; II Chronicles 31:2-4; Isaiah 1:13; Amos 8:5; Nehemiah 10:31) that is not binding on Christians under the new covenant.

Colossians 2:16 - Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day 17 things which are a mere shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ.

Yes and no.

The "practice" of keeping the Sabbath is certainly not "required" of Christians. But the practice points to the rest of God portrayed by the days of creation wherein He rested on the seventh day. As such, all Christians will come to celebrate entering into His rest (which many do before the death of the flesh), of whom it is written, "to live is Christ" for those who are "alive and remain" in the flesh.

Lol, I know that.
But it is a part of them and the scripture continues on these commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
Some ppl believe we still obey the 10 commandments or the moral code.

The sabbath is simply a day off. Nothing more, nothing less. If people make sabbath observation a requirement they are putting themselves under the OT law.

No they are the two that Jesus commanded us. The rest hang on these two: Matthew 22:37,39-40
If you fulfill these two, you simply will NOT break the others....

“‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.

And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.

Yes @Nancy With these two short sentences Jesus summed up the spirit of the 10 commandments.

yes
so people who say we're under the 10 but not the rest are talking nonsense.
the 10 aren't separate; they depend on love
if we delete Deuteronomy & Leviticus, the 10 have no standing - they become baseless. it's hogwash. all or nothing

we're under "the royal law" -- love one another, as He has loved us.
that fulfills all the righteousness of Moses -- but we're not under Moses; not at all. we died, with Christ
for love

Yes @Nancy With these two short sentences Jesus summed up the spirit of the 10 commandments.

those two are the Spirit of the whole law -- that's what Jesus said. the whole law hangs on those two. love fulfills the whole law -- not the other way around. the 10 commandments don't fulfill love. dark hearts can still honor light with their lips and hands, but hearts full of light can't remain in darkness: they break free
the 10 don't summarize those; those summarize the 10 - not only the first 10, but all the other 304.

we're under none of those 316 - we're under none of the old covenant with Israel whatsoever.
we're grafted into Abraham - which is a promise by faith - and we're under the new covenant in His blood, which has one commandment: love one another as He loved us. it is new, but it is not new: it is the same from the beginning. righteous doesn't change with a change of covenant, but with the change of priesthood comes a change of law. Christ is Melchizedek; the same from everlasting to everlasting. bread & wine; His body and blood

you don't have to ceremonially observe days.
you only have to believe Christ, trust Him, and seek Him -- repenting of all that in you that is not of Him, loving mercy, walking humbly.
in Him is true rest; a reality, rather than a forced ritual remembrance.

I'm bored to tears being retired! Miss the routine and the people.
I plan on retiring by next year. Don't plan on missing the headache or the high school drama. My wife will make sure that I never get bored. :D
