Her name is Semiramis. She is also known as Ishtar. The Bible refers to her as Ashtoreth. 1 Kings 11:33

Yes, this is true. The goddess and godchild pagan religion has many different names for every pagan country. The RCC took the pagan goddess and godchild at the time and renamed her Mary and her child Jesus. But Jesus in His letter to the church age of Thyatira (the RCC and Orthodox) called her Jezebel. He certainly wouldn't call His own mother that, but would a pagan demonic fake.

Inflamatory hogwash..

The pagan mother/child cults are an abomination precisely because they mock Mary and Emmanuel..

They have nothing to do with the Christian faith.

Cornelius and his household were filled with the Holy Spirit as the disciples were at Pentecost and spoke in tongues PRIOR to being baptised in water
So what. How does that diminish the need for water baptism? Your overemphasis on spirit baptism is at the expense of water baptism. Its water AND spirit. Get it? It's both/and, not either/or, which amounts to yet another false dichotomy. John 3:5 is not complicated. You seem to have problems with the word "and".

The Holy Spirit fell on everybody who heard Peter's oral preaching, he didn't read from the New Testament. See Acts 10. Then they were baptized.

Then Peter answered, 47“Can anyone forbid water, that these should not be baptized who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?”

For the second time, can you at least acknowledge Justin Martyr as a Christian???

Oh I agree with water baptism, I've been baptised in water, everyone should be. But Cornelius and his household had received salvation/been saved, prior to getting baptised in water. That's the only point I'm making

No one in the New Testament ever prayed to a dead human before the RCC made it up.

I have read several posts stating that because Mary is the mother of Jesus then that makes her Queen because Jesus is King.....
fwiw...I am pretty certain that all queens are wives of all kings. Mary isn't Jesus wife but rather His mother....nowhere in history can I find that the mother of a king is the queen.
Hi @Heart2Soul Well, saying so, is all part of the system. Though it's not a Scriptural title.

@1stCenturyLady It's not hogwash as our friend tries to claim; there are plenty of examples of how the pagan cults have been subsumed into ecclesiastical practices.

You have that exactly backwards. Their are plenty of examples of cultural practices that have been reordered to glorify Christ!

Paganism was conquered by the Church, not the other way around..

....since indeed the NT says there is 'one God, and one Mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus' (1 Timothy 2.5), then the fact that many ppl still see others as worthy of imprecation shows that pagan practises - against all denials - are still apparent.

RCC and Orthodox pray to Mary who was not God, but a human being. As are all the saints.

And none of them are dead. Do you never ask anyone to pray for you? Perhaps you think your prayers foe others are not effecacious?

What is your objection to asking our righteous brothers and sisters to pray for us?

The fervent prayer of a righteous person is very powerful
