Did you forget these already?Still trying to deny the Blood of Jesus and Eternal Life using your one verse.
I showed you what 'believing in vain' meant right from the passage. It doesn't mean 'unless you didn't really believe'. Why are you ignoring what the passage itself says 'believing in vain' means?Holding onto the word FIRMLY.......that i have PREACHED TO YOU.....
see that? He is talking about TRULY BELIEVING.........the Gospel.
Then Paul show your the OTHER.. "Lest you have believed in VAIN"..
So, this is the true believer vs the person who has no root.
It's interesting that if I told you I'm a believer that has quit believing and gone back to the world in all my past sinful glory you'd embrace me as a saved, born again, beloved brother.
No, you hold on to the finished, everlasting ministry and sacrifice of Christ through your faith. You don't even understand the argument, lol.You dont even realize that God SAVED you.........its FINISHED.
God did it,, its a GIFT.
You are still trying to get there, by "holding unto your savior, Faith".
I know why you don't include me in being saved even though, in your eyes, I'm a believer who is in belief. You're saying I am what your own doctrine says I can't be because I'm a believer. You're not being true to your own teaching. Completely laughable.I'd only embrace you as a brother if you stopped trying to harm real believers by lying to them, which is to tell them that they can lose their Salvation.

But why can't I be among the other precious believers who stopped believing? Your doctrine says I am among them despite my unbelief. But you're calling me a devil. So, when you stop denying the Cross of Christ as ETERNAL LIFE, and the Blood of Jesus as God's Gift that is not based on your keeping yourself saved, then sure.
No, you hold on to the finished,
No, it says to hold onto it. The very thing you condemn.Your 1st 3 verses say that we are to keep our faith from being weak, or dead.
The 1 Corinthians 15:2 and 1 John 2:24 verses explain this perfectly. But those 3 do not say that if you dont, you will lose your salvation.
But why can't I be among the other precious believers who stopped believing?
Your thinking is so small. Of course Jesus can and will finish what he started. You certainly don't. But that won't happen if you bail out before he's done!No you dont.
Its God who holds unto you, as Salvation is HIS to Give and once its applied, then HE has taken care of your sin and your Salvation
Philippians 1:6

I didn't use the 'castaway' passage. And "castaway" is not the same as "going to hell".
The 1 Corinthians 15:2 and 1 John 2:24 verses explain this perfectly.
Your thinking is so small.
It plainly says the person who denies the Son doesn't have the Father. What gives you the audacity to say John is wrong about that? Paul says the same thing. If you deny the Son he will deny you:The Last verse, 1 John..... talks about denying the Son.......and that is not backsliding into dead faith... that is DENYING the Son.
So, if you are born again you have already proved you have not denied The Son.
I didn't use the 'castaway' passage.
?
Good grief, man! I showed you exactly what 'believing in vain' means right in the passage! Are you just going to turn a blind eye to it?! There's no interpretation needed. Paul plainly says what it means. Good grief, how can anyone take you seriously!1 Cor 15:2, only teaches that holding unto your faith is to not have believed in Vain.... = not really born again.
It plainly says the person who denies the Son doesn't have the Father. "
