It is like a weird blindness of the anti gun people. They don’t understand the concept of gun ownership. They think it is the gun that shoots people, therefore ban the gun. Good people own guns, lots of good people. People that won’t kill another.

So the purpose of owning and carrying a gun is to show off? To be macho? If you see someone shooting someone else and you're "carrying", you won't try to kill that person? The answer is obvious, so your saying that "good people own guns, lots of good people. People that won’t kill another" is nonsense.

Should the Lord in His Infinite Wisdom allow any Christian to be killed, He alone has His Just reasons. We can't question Him

Christians die of hunger, we get cancer, we die of CoVid19, we get caught in earthquakes and tornadoes and hurricanes and floods and tsunamis, we get in car wrecks, and we get stabbed and shot, same as the pagans do. Does God protect us? Wanna talk about the problem of Theodicy?

So it is fear that causes Americans to keep guns. But how many children and teens have been killed in schools. Their parents weren't able to protect them.

And maybe He doesn't. Jesus said to turn the other cheek and he chastised Peter in Gethsemane for using his sword to defend Him.

Here in the UK we are blessed not to have that same fear of being attacked that cause those in the US to keep guns.

I think you make a good point. Britain does not make gun access so easy. Yet in Texas, guns can be obtained very easily, and woman are most likely to be killed or murdered by a gun in Texas than any other State in the US. No doubt it is because the ease of access to guns makes it more likely for people to commit mass shootings (Which have been on the rise here in the US). You don’t have the same amount of mass shootings in Britain like here in the US. Yet, the gun carrying Christians are beyond all reason and logic to be able to see this. There is a veil over their eyes whereby they cannot see this unless they pray about it to see the truth. But right now. They are afraid. They are in fear and so they must protect their families. They must take control. Little do they realize that GOD is the great protector if they obey Him. Little do they realize God is in control of what ultimately happens in life. If they don’t obey GOD, then their prayers for protection will not be heard and then they will need a gun. So it’s a faith issue. Lack of obedience is a lack of faith in GOD. Lack of belief in what His Word plainly says is also a lack of faith in GOD. For faith comes by hearing, and hearing the Word of God (Romans 10:17).

WHY do you need to shoot to kill, rather than to stop the criminal? Surely they can be stopped by shooting at a part of the body that incapacitates, rather than to kill?

By law, a citizen may use deadly force when they are in imminent danger of death, grievous bodily harm, or rape. My trainers were quite clear on this point: You shoot to stop the threat. It's hard enough to hit a moving target that's trying to kill you, and just wounding a human that is motivated to kill you will not necessarily stop the threat. You shoot to kill. You must have the mindset that if that gun comes out of your holster, somebody is going to die. Carrying a firearm is for serious people only.

Some people are good a enough shot to do that. Or shoot their gun out of their hand....LOL You double tap center mass.

Two to the center mass, one to the head in case the target is wearing body armor. It's a drill I practice at the range.

Well said. The more people that own guns the more shootings there will be. I read recently of a small child fatally shooting himself with his father's gun. So sad. And then angry teens have access too. And the politicians are afraid to stand against guns because it will make them unpopular with the gun brigade, most of whom are probably not Christian.

If they say they are Christian, there is a chance some of them are simply nominal Christians whereby they say they are Christian because it is popular and it’s not because they are actually a follower of Jesus Christ who truly seeks to truly worship the Lord, and to honor His Word.
