Pretty ugly is the natural world as its wisdom is earthly, sensual devilish.I was thinking last night...
The reason why Lot offered the crowd his daughters, is because he knew they didn't want them. They wanted the men.
And you think.. how did they become so disoriented from the nature in which God created us?
And I believe we are watching how that all came about, today before our very eyes.
It takes more than one generation to persuade and convince a nation to turn 180 degrees.
Even Abraham bartered for their salvation down to 10 righteous in the city. And God only found 1.
That is both sad and scary.
But it begins in the cradle. And moves through education cycles, and then those become parents and (how I don't know)
pass that down to their children... until it becomes the norm.
If this goes unchecked, how many generations remain before the world becomes Sodom and Gomorah?
And instead of a city being incinerated, we see in the NT that the whole world is consumed at the Lord's coming.
And to be frank, I don't see them all turning back 180 degrees seeking repentance. Because they believe that what they are doing is good and righteous in their own eyes.
Woe is me...

James 3
14 But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth.
15 This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic.
And those of the world with Satan as their father are in opposition to Christ and His children.
They have enmity between them put in their hearts by the Lord God. And HE will crush the head of the Serpent.
14 So the Lord God said to the serpent:
“Because you have done this,
You are cursed more than all cattle,
And more than every beast of the field;
On your belly you shall go,
And you shall eat dust
All the days of your life.
15 And I will put enmity
Between you and the woman,
And between your seed and her Seed;
He shall bruise your head,
And you shall bruise His heel.”
As far as LOT and them rejecting his daughters, I think the only thing that stopped them from abusing and killing the 2 daughters was the angels of the Lord.
Genesis 19
6 So Lot went out to them through the doorway, shut the door behind him,
7 and said, “Please, my brethren, do not do so wickedly!
8 See now, I have two daughters who have not known a man; please, let me bring them out to you, and you may do to them as you wish; only do nothing to these men, since this is the reason they have come under the shadow of my roof.”
9 And they said, “Stand back!” Then they said, “This one came in to stay here, and he keeps acting as a judge; now we will deal worse with you than with them.” So they pressed hard against the man Lot, and came near to break down the door.
10 But the men (the 2 angels) reached out their hands and pulled Lot into the house with them, and shut the door. 11 And they struck the men who were at the doorway of the house with blindness, both small and great, so that they became weary trying to find the door.
This theme of offering women to lustful men also happened in another place, and the woman, a concubine, was abused and tortured all night by the men of the town and she perished. No angels who had rescued righteous Lot like before, in response to Abraham's talking with God.
Judges 19 New King James Version
The Levite’s Concubine
19 And it came to pass in those days, when there was no king in Israel, that there was a certain Levite staying in the remote mountains of Ephraim. He took for himself a concubine from Bethlehem in Judah. 2 But his concubine played the harlot against him, and went away from him to her father’s house at Bethlehem in Judah, and was there four whole months. 3 Then her husband arose and went after her, to speak kindly to her and bring her back, having his servant and a couple of donkeys with him. So she brought him into her father’s house; and when the father of the young woman saw him, he was glad to meet him. 4 Now his father-in-law, the young woman’s father, detained him; and he stayed with him three days. So they ate and drank and lodged there.
Gibeah’s Crime
22 As they were enjoying themselves, suddenly certain men of the city, perverted men, surrounded the house and beat on the door. They spoke to the master of the house, the old man, saying, “Bring out the man who came to your house, that we may know him carnally!”
23 But the man, the master of the house, went out to them and said to them, “No, my brethren! I beg you, do not act so wickedly! Seeing this man has come into my house, do not commit this outrage.
24 Look, here is my virgin daughter and the man’s concubine; let me bring them out now. Humble them, and do with them as you please; but to this man do not do such a vile thing!”
25 But the men would not heed him. So the man took his concubine and brought her out to them. And they knew her and abused her all night until morning; and when the day began to break, they let her go.
I really don't have an answer for that what people did back then with their women and daughter's, but they would offer them up to perverted men to prevent the men who are quests under their protection in the household from being sexually assaulted. This apparently was the culture of that time and of course also recognized as evil, but more evil still was allowing the men to be assaulted if women were available to be offered to the perverted men.
