Brother, it depends. If God is urging you to say something, then say it whether they receive it or not. Sometimes it's a seed that will come up later....even much later. But other times, it is an unprofitable dispute, or casting pearls before swine. So I think each situation is different.

Well, sadly enough, I am my own spelling police. It bugs me until I fix it! Such a burden! lolWell you can always call on the Spelling Police to help out.
And the solution for those who would give in by returning the insult should or would be what? Can we make it better for them? Can we help them?
It might make us sad and/or even bring us to tears.
Was Jesus who had done no wrong to deserve crucifixion bothered by the wrath of those who conspired against him?

Are you generalizing too much? Are you crediting people in general with more ability to logically understand than many of them possess?

But I don't think the mods have time to investigate every single disrespectful remark. When someone is rude to me, I just like to point out the error in their logic.
There are two ways to learn: We can learn the easy way - by obeying Jesus. Or we can learn the hard way - by disobeying him. If a person chooses to disobey Jesus and insult you, he has chosen the hard way. There's nothing you or I can do about that.
There's no reason another person's wrath should bring us to tears. They've chosen to be wrathful - now they have to face the consequences of their wrath. (They will have to deal with the Lord.)
No, we should not be wrathful, but that is not what I am talking about. I am talking about people directing their wrath at us.
When you break things down to their simplest components, anyone can undestand them. Tackle one issue at a time.
Nothing? Where does forgiveness and intercessory prayer come into the picture? What about the words James wrote here...?

Cannot such prayer accomplish much in such a situation?
A while back I created a thread and shared what the Holy Spirit said to me. I was kind of new to Christian Forums and was shocked how they talked to one another. I would get offended and angry and respond similarly to how they spoke to me. I knew it wasn't right so I would take a couple of days off from the forum and pray.
I asked the Holy Spirit to show me how to handle members who were rude or in error without offending or being offended.
I said how should I respond to their unkindness..
He said with love.

You can show me the way, but I have to take the walk. You can't do that for me.
Does it matter why Jesus wept? Would he have done anything differently, given a second oppurtunity?
Not necessarily. Don't apply one Bible verse to every situation that crops up. Just understand the futility of returning insult for insult.
