And if somebody thinks they are elect, they will drop their guard and not keep watch of themselves and those around them.
LOL
If someone thinks they are elect and are not...
what guard would be important?
They're lost anyway....

My point being, that one should KNOW if they are saved.
I dislike using the word elect for obvious reasons.

Precious friend, Really? Then Judas had a "believing heart, AND an UNbelieving heart"?:

JESUS, Who Is The "God Who Knows all hearts, Certainly Disagrees!:

Joh 6:64 But there are some of you that believe NOT. For JESUS KNEW from
the beginning who they were that believed NOT
, and who should betray Him.

Joh_6:70 Jesus Answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil?

So, since when are "devils SAVED"? Judas could NOT:
"have been saved, then lost!"
+
believing, then UNbelieving? Under GRACE, Scripture Also Disagrees!

This Denies The "Foreknowledge/Choosing/Knowledge" of God:

(a) "God’s SURE Foundation Has THIS SEAL”:

The LORD Knoweth them that Are HIS!..." (2 Timothy 2:19 KJB!),

The "TRULY saved," Correct?

(b) HOW LONG Has "The LORD KNOWN them That Are HIS Own"?
(Ephesians 1:4-6 KJB!) = ALWAYS,
Correct?

(c) For those who are LOST, how is it That The LORD Said Unto them:
I NEVER Knew you”? (Matthew 7:21-23 KJB!) = NEVER,
Correct?

Precious friend:
You do not wish to explain the Contradictory teaching: "Christ Says He ALWAYS KNEW" the TRULY saved, but they LOST salvation, so THEN, "HE says HE NEVER KNEW them." do you, Precious friend??? UNscriptural, Correct?

More/Further Scriptural Plain And Clear Confirmation?:

God's OPERATION On All HIS New-born babes In CHRIST!
God's Eternal Assurance!

Peace!
So, precious friend ... I'm trying to keep track of all these crazy doctrines. Sinner says if you have an unbelieving heart, you were never saved to begin with. Are you saying that if you believe, you are saved no matter what?

What of the demons who are more certain than any human that God exists and is real and know His power well? Rest assured they will not be in heaven.

because those who dont believe, were never saved to begin with. If you wake up tomorrow and all of a sudden dont believe, you didnt lose your faith, you simply never had any and were deceived. You CANNOT lose your salvation once God gives it to you. Literally cant be lost.
And when, exactly, does God give it to you?

John says whoever sins has never seen or known God.
That doesn't add up, EG.

King Saul?
King David?
King Solomon?

All did GREAT things for the Lord and sinned GREATLY after! And they KNEW what sin was. Sin existed prior to the NT.

Sinner claims they ALL went to heaven. You OSAS guys need to have a meeting and get on the same page.

Jesus tells us in the book of John that if you're IN HIM, you can be lost.
Actually that's not what He said.

John 15:1-6 KJV
1) I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
2) Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
3) Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
4) Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
5) I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
6) If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

This is not a man who is "In Christ". Many assume he was previously, but Jesus didn't say that. "If a man does not abide in me" is like saying, if a man doesn't live in that building . . . There's no implication that he lived there previously.

Much love!

Right. And the only way to KNOW for sure you are saved is to strive to make your calling sure, but these OSAS promoters claim that is works salvation.

You're right G,
The NT is full of verses that show one could forfeit their salvation.

We cannot be saved by works without faith...
But the faith that saves us demands works.

All books of the Bible are to All Bible readers.
2 Peter 1:20
But not everyone is told to build an ark, and not everyone is told to offer animal sacrifices, and . . . not everyone is conflicted over whether to trust Jesus instead of offering those sacrifices, which is primarily what Hebrews addresses.

Much love!

You are in error to speak for me.
Do you not trust, Scripture that applies to a person born of God? I do.

1 John 3:
[9] Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

Did you notice Renniks response? Implication, speaking for me, claims I did not make? Typical of those who Fail to comprehend 1 John 3:9....by retorting, one is claiming.....to be “sinless or without sin.” They don’t “quote” a person making such claim, but speak for the other, then disagree.

Gaslighters...!!

You're arguing with Peter.

Drop their guard?

What is there but to think we are the elect? If we say we know we are, isn't that a thought? Until the judgement when we find out what God says about it?
