It's not you Naomanos. Some people think getting the vaccine goes against God's will. While others believe the vaccine is God's creation. Some people think science is evil. I'm not one of them and think people that think science is evil have limited their intellect. So I usually keep my conversations short with them as conversation is futile in such cases.

I have cystic fibrosis and got the vaccine, so I understand why you're getting yours. I have seen two people die from Covid and another get really sick and near death. And those are the only people I know that got Covid except one that was already vaccinated and she indicated that if she hadn't been vaccinated she feels her problems would have been much worse.

If my dad didn’t get the vaccine he probably would have died when he contracted Covid. It was a breakthrough case. He has major health issues. Diabetic with heart failure and digestive problems from an intestinal surgery that got infected. I am thankful that this shot was available to him or he probably wouldn’t be alive today. When it first broke out I had to go to the hospital for some other reason and it was full of COVID patients because it was pre-vaccination days. Yeah it was bad and they had to put me in a chair instead of a hospital bed. Let's hope those days are behind us now that there is a vaccine solution. And I hear they're approving a new med pill from Merk that lessens the chances of hospitalization by 50% if caught early enough.

It’s nice to see a normal conversation on this topic. My employer wants proof of vaccination for the flu. Regular flu, not just covid.
I asked my doctor for an exception on the flu vaccine since I work mostly from home. I already had the covid booster in September.

That right there is the classic example of why a person might decide to get the Covid shot. They KNOW the present status of their weakened state of health, and that their natural level of immunity is already over taxed and compromised.

To use a simple analogy, if I pick up 10lbs of weight with my right hand, I am not going add to it 30lbs. more, when I know that a total of 20 lbs. Is all that it can do.
