I'm talking about how we are judged. Not how we are saved.I think you have it exactly Backwards——“ For with the Heart, man Believes and is Justified....”

I'm talking about how we are judged. Not how we are saved.I think you have it exactly Backwards——“ For with the Heart, man Believes and is Justified....”
God gives certain men the authority to make rabbinical judgments for the people of God...
"...select capable men from among the people—God-fearing, trustworthy men who are averse to dishonest gain. Appoint them over the people as leaders of thousands, of hundreds, of fifties, and of tens. Have these men judge the people at all times. Then they can bring you any major issue, but all minor cases they can judge on their own..." Exodus 18:21-22
Here's another example of man made law created by those in the teaching and administrative gifts in this New Covenant:
"It is my judgment, therefore, that we should not cause trouble for the Gentiles who are turning to God. Instead, we should write and tell them to abstain from food polluted by idols, from sexual immorality, from the meat of strangled animals, and from blood." Acts 15:19-20
Fulfill means to satisfy. Or to complete, as in, "I wanted to, then I did." The 'doing' being the completion of the outstanding requirement to do.
I'm saying you have to continue to believe as evidenced by not living in willful sin before you die.
Hold that thought.I would say Christians do not know Christian morals. They focus on and know more about works of service/sacrifice than the obedience of godly character according to the fruit of the Spirit.
Exactly!
They were saved by the gospel Paul preached to them. He reminds them of that.
"I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, and in which you stand firm." 1 Corinthians 15:1
Then he tells them they aren't saved and their faith is in vain if they believe in a gospel of an unrisen savior. The important take away here, BB....I mean, GB...is they were indeed saved (see above). But they aren't saved if they change the gospel Paul preached to them and by which they were saved and believe in it instead.
You continue with this idea that you commit sins, but not wilfully? And that you don't continue to commit sins wilfully?
You must have a very limited view of your power to choose, and/or what constitutes sin.
Much love!
A.k.a., 'Unbelief'.or committing sins on purpose and failing to repent of them, etc....) you will “ Be Severed”
No, you won't remain saved.committing sins on purpose and failing to repent of them, etc....) you will “ Be Severed”, But just Maybe you might remain Saved.
The law 'love your neighbor as yourself' is a continuing debt of law that we Christians are to keep fulfilling:The Law was fulfilled by Christ and it is done. The Mosaic Law does not apply to Christians. We do not keep fulfilling it.
This would go back to the that predestination question . . .No, you won't remain saved.
The law 'love your neighbor as yourself' is a continuing debt of law that we Christians are to keep fulfilling:
"If you love me keep my commandments," Jesus said. How does fulfilling the law do away with it? Did Christ do away with righteousness when He was baptized?Stay on track, we are talking about fulfilling the Law. Even if it was something that you could do....you would only need to do it once. That is why Christ was only crucified once. The Law was fulfilled by Christ and it is done. The Mosaic Law does not apply to Christians. We do not keep fulfilling it. We cannot fulfil it and we do not have the authority to fulfill it even if we could.
Funny; it used to be called the Gospel of Jesus Christ. :)They were Saved and Secure because of their Faith in Paul’s Gospel ALONE.......
So, what are biblical sins?
Do you know, or do you want to talk about it?
And "others" and "your neighbor" would include God, right? :)The law 'love your neighbor as yourself' is a continuing debt of law that we Christians are to keep fulfilling:
"Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law." Romans 13:8
"...the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”" Galatians 5:14
There is a lot more to the morality of the New Testament than this.
"If you love me keep my commandments," Jesus said. How does fulfilling the law do away with it? Did Christ do away with righteousness when He was baptized?
Matthew 3:13 At that time Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to be baptized by John.
Matthew 3:14 But John tried to prevent Him, saying, "I need to be baptized by You, and do You come to me?"
Matthew 3:15 "Let it be so now," Jesus replied. "It is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness in this way." Then John permitted Him.
Not all sin is transgression of the law,
And, yet, he will judge each of us according to what we have done.
Saving faith is measured by what it does, not by what it says. That's why each of us has to know if we have real faith and are ready to meet Jesus when he comes back. We know that by how we live. That's why we are told to make our calling and election sure by doing things. If you find you can't live a righteous life then you know that you are not saved and are not ready to meet Jesus when he comes back. The Bible tells us this for our sake.
Now explain how believing in vain changes it so that you do not have to hold firmly to the word to be saved. As you can see, it doesn't. You have to hold firmly to the gospel you heard in order to be saved. John says the same thing in 1 John 2:24. The condition for Christ and the Father to remain in you is that you remain in them in faith.
You being more in line with Calvinist thought on this matter should explain to BB...I mean, GB...that a person can not depart from believing in the gospel and still be saved. I know you agree with that. You just believe that a person can not stop believing and will, therefore, always remain in Christ.
