I have not made cookies in years... The cool weather and cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves ... just goes together...
The cool weather triggers salmon to come into shallow water to get ready for their spawning run. It used to trigger a response in me to want to go catch them. But not anymore. I don't have any hobbies anymore. Just loving my King.

I do like standing in the sun, feeling the heat on my skin. I like the cool breeze as it wipes away the heat. I like the sound of the wind as it rustles through the tree-tops. I like watching the clouds as they sail through the sky. I enjoy standing on the beach with the moist sand between my toes. Watching the gulls as they hang effortlessly on the breeze. I am awed as the sound of thunder peals across the sky. I enjoy standing in the rain, accepting the wet as a good thing. I am awed by looking at the clear, night sky, filled with stars. These are things I enjoy doing as I'm playing my guitar, singing and communing with God though His Spirit and creation.

NOPE... I never count down... was just going for the SHOCK factor.
What I am going to do this year however... is make Jesus a birthday cake. I do not participate in Christmas... I don't have the finances to buy gifts for ANYONE... My view on Christmas is that it is Jesus' Birthday.
