Agree. It's a condunrum.
* Gods Love is about a genuine inner feeling...Love between ALL People, ALL genders, races, religions, status', etc.
* Not the inner hormones raging, or the constant Mind bombardment of sexual images, talk, (24-7) influencing the outer flesh toward gotta jump some bones, of anything available in secret, or anything society dictates is openly acceptable, to be Proud of.
* Sure some like genders will keep their distance;
A nod, a wave, a fist bump...
*** Some like genders will openly show their sexual desires...extended holding hands, touching sexual places, repeated lip kissing, extend arm wrap, etc.
* Some like genders will openly ignore societies "rules"...and openly show their love, that has nothing to do with desiring sex...
With a hug, embrace, kiss, "greeting", and "departure" hug, embrace, kiss, touch, verbal Love you...more so brief, focused toward a "greeting" and "departure".

Scripture against homosexuality is IMO, more focused toward *** as above, whether in secret or openly, that IS sex geared.

I personally think there are different types of love. Love is wanting what's best and good for someone. And for me defining what's good is done by God. It is driven by care and concern for someone else or self. People tend to make up their own definitions of love, which is where it gets creepy. Lust however is of course a different word. And I think many people confuse love with shades and degrees of love mixed with lust or lust by itself.

God is Love by ultimate definition. Nothing sexual about it of course.

I personally think we need to be careful how we apply the term love in the context of homosexual relations which is driven by lust also.

People can be in Perfect Love toward, with, IN, God Spiritually.

That does not mean, they are "PERFECTED" in their earthly body.
He does not "PERFECT" a mans body, until...
That body is dead "and" raise up.
His "perfection", "while" one is still alive in his body...is His Works of Saving the soul and quickening the spirit of a man.

In the meantime...yup, bodies fall into flesh lusts, gluttony, hibernation, some bodies turn to Hollymud for perfection, surgeries, chemical compounds, diets, exercise, clothing, makeup, perfumes, etc.

The disgust IMO, is not their choice to become a lawfully recognized couple.

It is precisely, using the WORDS..."wedding and marriage", to describe a union expressly established for two people of opposite genders.

There ARE established LAWS, "expressly for partnerships", that could be all encompassing for a "homosexuals" intents...to be legally recognized...to be legally entitled to benefits for legally recognized couples....WITHOUT "corrupting" the description OF wedding and marriage, expressly established FOR two people OF opposite genders.

The disgust inanutshell is: Destroying the preservation of the meaning of Wedding and Marriage, WHEN the same results could be achieved, While preserving and NOT destroying the established "meaning" of Wedding and Marriage.

Do not covent...Take that which belongs to another. Wedding and Marriage belongs to two of the OPPOSITE gender.

I really don't think the so-called great commission applies to everyone.

• 1Cor 12:27-30 . . Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in
particular. And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily
prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps,
governments, diversities of tongues.

. . . Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of
miracles? Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all
interpret?

The answer to every one of those questions is NO.

And then there's this:

• Eph 4:11 . . . It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets,
some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers

In other words: only "some" are given to be evangelists rather than all;
same goes for teaching; about which there's a warning.

• Jas 3:1 . . Not many of you should presume to be teachers, my brothers,
because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly.

My attitude towards gays and lesbians, etc, completely changed while
watching a movie called The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel.

There is a touching scene where two aging gay men, who were friends in
India when they were boys, reunited after many years of separation. It
made me realize that they are just as capable of bonding and affection as
straight folks, and just as capable of heartbreak too, and regrets.

LGBTQI folk are on the opposite side of the coin, but they are not a different
coin: they are the same coin, i.e. the human coin.

It's curious to me how so many Christians are willing to practice the golden
rule with liars, murderers, and adulterers, while refusing to extend equal
courtesy to folk whose gender values differ from their own.

Yes I think homosexuality is disgusting. So is adultery, fornication, theft, abuse, lying, deceiving etc. That being said I still love the person and hate the sin. We are all guilty of sin. Homosexuals have one of the highest suicide rate of any group. Mostly I believe because of the shame it brings and how horrible and hateful people can be to them. I think they are dealt a very hard life. I do think it is a choice though. God can remove it.

If there is a 'gay gene', then it is the same sin gene as any other.

I was a born liar and thief coming into this world and proved it on daily basis so long as I can remember, But in Christ we are changed inwardly to do so outwardly. I am no longer a born liar and thief. So it is with any sin of the flesh born into of the flesh.
