"…the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:" (John 5:22)
Yes He has. But let's not jump to conclusions concerning what that means! ;)
The great white throne is the judgment seat of Christ!
No. There are 2 resurrections each having a good and bad outcome. Like 2 baseball games with each having a winner and a loser. The fire in the Bema judgment seat of Christ is there to prove the works of those who are saved. Fire doesn't kill the saved ones, but only reveals the kind of works done in the body. Some will have a reward and others will suffer loss. Judgment begins at the house of God. The Bema seat is for God's house exclusively whereby everyone will give an account.
But the GWT is impersonal. There will not be a personal account. This judgment is based on God's mercy alone, not according to works. It has to do only with who is written in the Book of Life or not. And this after the saints have ruled with Christ for a thousand years. The fire for those who are not saved at the GWT destroys the person. The lake of fire is for those who are not deemed to be worthy of life. In that case the loss is total. So God will destroy the soul of the wicked ones.
And Christ described how all men will arrive there:
"Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation." (John 5:28-29)
This verse is very misunderstood. Some confuse the above verse to mean that the first resurrection is all good, and the second rez is all bad. But Jesus is describing the nature of how resurrections work. Each has a winner and a loser. The verse is not accurately translated which adds in more confusion. It doesn't say "the" resurrection per se, so it does not refer to a specific resurrection. It is "a" resurrection.
And the words of Jesus work for both resurrections. The word translated as "damnation" is "krisis" which means to pass before a tribunal. It has negative connotations to be sure.
One should keep in mind the universal aspect of the truth...without trying to limit it to something simplistic and biased.
There is no scriptural authority to artificially separate the judgment seat of Christ from the great white throne in Revelation; nor to add the notion of Christians getting rewards for their behavior done in their bodies.
This reasoning shows that you have been improperly taught.
Eisegesis: commonly referred to as
reading into the text.It is often done to "prove" a pre-held point of concern, and to provide
confirmation bias corresponding with the pre-held interpretation and any agendas supported by it.
ALL men will be brought before the Lord. Are all ministers? This pernicious lie that 1 Cor. 3 only regards ministry has stolen the truth from many. We are all responsible for what we build on the foundation that is Christ. It is an abdication of responsibility to have everything foisted on either Jesus or else a minister. We are each going to be held responsible for everything we have done in the body. Don't be deceived.
Man has misapplied the rewards of the preacher in his work of ministry in the body of Christ to rewards of the behavior of the brethren.
You have wrongly divided the word of truth using a system that claims to “rightly divide” it. What a spectacle!
There are no separate rewards for a preacher. That is a lie spread by the "Nicolaitans" that seek to elevate themselves over the Body as a separate class. There is one Christ and all are just brethren. Don't be deceived.
The split in resurrections is not one of clergy-laity. It has to do with the house of God and the world.
What a spectacle indeed! Your judgment comes back onto you. Such is the way with the double-edged sword of truth.
