OSAS says it! You forsook OSAS?I never said that, bearing false witness again
I proved him wrong months ago,I can’t see his crap anymore. Why didn't you respond to Ferris Bueller's links that prove you wrong?
Good information...I have to read this again...Don't you know that Once saved always saved used to teach that the person who went back to unbelief and lived in sin was never really saved to begin with? It never claimed that you could go back to your old life of sin and back to unbelief and you remained saved. It said the truly saved person wasn't even capable of going back to his old life of sin and unbelief!
Osas comes from the 'P' in Calvin's TULIP teaching, the basis for all the reformed 'OSAS' churches. As you can see here, the new Osas is quite contrary to the old.....

Reformed doctrine

Calvinists also believe that all who are born again and justified before God necessarily and inexorably proceed to sanctification. Failure to proceed to sanctification in their view is considered by some as evidence that the person in question was never truly saved to begin with.[8]
Free Grace doctrine[edit]
The Free Grace or non-traditional Calvinist doctrine has been espoused by Charles Stanley, Norman Geisler, Zane C. Hodges, Bill Bright, and others. This view, like the traditional Calvinist view, emphasizes that people are saved purely by an act of divine grace that does not depend at all on the deeds of the individual, and for that reason (in contrary to Calvinism) insists that nothing the person can do can affect their salvation. In the Free Grace view, saints can fall away (stop persevering) in both conduct and faith yet remain eternally secure.
Whatever dude, I did with those postsYou still have not proven what I asked and the fact you cannot is proof enough...you proved it for me. ;)
John is talking about a particular group of people in that church. We know that because five verses later he tells the true believers who did not leave to remain in the Father and the Son by letting the word remain in them. Obviously, even John himself didn't believe that true believers never leave and only fake ones do.Prove to me those things are not true
I did not just quote John as those who departed in us belief there were others
prove those are not lies if you can
Nope, I just interpreted it correctlyYou're calling the Book of Hebrews a lie!
Hebrews 6:4-8 (NKJV)
4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit (Christians), 5 and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, 6 if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame. 7 For the earth which drinks in the rain that often comes upon it, and bears herbs useful for those by whom it is cultivated, receives blessing from God; 8 but if it bears thorns and briars, it is rejected and near to being cursed, whose end is to be burned.
I think that's against forum rules, as is you calling me a liar at least 3 times.I proved him wrong months ago,I can’t see his crap anymore.
he is another slanderer and false accuser
More false baseless accusation based on fact you utterly have no clue what osas teachesGood information...I have to read this again...
OSAS CAN BE LIKEN TO AN IDOL
BECAUSE IN IT ONE CAN MAKE SCRIPTURE SAY WHAT THEY DESIRE.
AND YOU CANNOT PUT THIS BEFORE GOD
YOU SHOULD HAVE NO IDOLS...
"The gospel is the good news of the availability and the presence of life in the kingdom of God now and forever through reliance on Jesus the anointed - this was the faith of Abraham (John 8:56)" Dallas
Osas doctrine...."Christ made arrangements to get us into heaven when we die"
You're right and Hebrews is wrong? lolNope, I just interpreted it correctly
YepCool, then you agree people can abandon the faith. My work is done here.
Whatever dude, I did with those posts
the fact you can’t refute them and resort to this nonsense is proof enough
I have found that the frustration of talking about Osas is they can't even decide themselves if they believe in the new Osas, or the old one. And most don't even know there is two versions of Osas that are completely contrary to each other! You're calling the Book of Hebrews a lie!
Yep
but it does not mean they had saving faith
Your work failed
Cool, then you agree people can abandon the faith. My work is done here.
Do you think he'll look at the links and then acknowledge that BB did openly say grace is a license to sin? I think if he does look at them he'll say BB didn't really mean it that way.I think that's against forum rules, as is you calling me a liar at least 3 times.
He's too busy hurling insults at NON OSASers and name calling.Do you think he'll look at the links and then acknowledge that BB did openly say grace is a license to sin? I think if he does look at them he'll say BB didn't really mean it that way.
Instead of arguments...I'm going to go to passages.... Ephesian 2 for example:Here is the real question....and if you can find a scripture...I will rethink my thinking?
Where in Scripture does it say...He saved us so that we can have heaven when we physically die?
And...in EPHESIANS 2:8 which we should
all go back and look at the context......what is the saving from?
If we look at what eternal life is....we will find it is about knowledge...intimate relationship...like and knew Eve.
Example a woman buys a purse from the thrift store not knowing that sewed inside of the lining there is diamond worth a million dollars. SHE POSSESSES THE DIAMOND BUT HAS NOT LAYED HOLD OF IT. FOR IF SHE LAYED HOLD OF IT SHE WOULD NOT NEED TO WORK ANY MORE...SHE WOULD BE ABUNDANTLY BLESSED AND TAKEN CARE OF.
IT IS KNOWLEGE OF THIS DIAMOND THAT ACTUALLY SAVES HER. NOT THE MERE POSSESSION OF IT.
THAT KNOWLEDGE COMES AS SHE DID THE WORK TO REPAIR THE LINING IN HER PURSE. FOR THEN SHE KNOWS WHAT SHE HAS.
You know how to get saved. What you need to know is how to stay in the security of salvation.....
...since you already know these things, be on your guard so that you will not be carried away by the error of the lawless and fall from your secure standing. Jude 1:17
Now let's see why he came and why He saves us.Instead of arguments...I'm going to go to passages.... Ephesian 2 for example:
And asked what does scripture say one is saved from.....do not add to it...
What is the grace? The unearned favor we cannot do by ourselves?
And whose faith is verse 8 referring to.
And what does "through" mean in verse 7.
2 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
