Luke 23:
John 19:46 Then Jesus called out in a loud voice, "Father, into Your hands I commit My Spirit." And when He had said this, He breathed His last.
It was his decision. Jesus separated his spirit from his body; he laid down his physical/bodily life by his own action. John 10:30 When Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, "It is finished." And bowing His head, He yielded up His spirit.
18 No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again. This charge I have received from my Father.
