Read: Matthew 21:1-27

When the religious leaders saw the outrageous things he was doing, and heard all the children running and shouting through the Temple, “Hosanna to David’s Son!” they were up in arms and took him to task. “Do you hear what these children are saying?” Jesus said, “Yes, I hear them. And haven’t you read in God’s Word, ‘From the mouths of children and babies I’ll furnish a place of praise’?”

Matthew 21:15‭-‬16 MSG

Thoughts: Very good passage. This includes Jesus riding into town on a donkey, (Palm Sunday), showing up the thieves in the temple with a couple flipped tables, and a bad fig tree Jesus used to teach his disciples a lesson of the greatness and power they held inside of them.

This is my favorite part of the passage, because it shows simple faith and praise go a long way. Many times I try to figure things out. I say this is right, this is wrong. He is crazy. I want to be just like her. She is so strong….but we are to have a house of praise...it is hard to praise God bickering over every little thing...our eyes need to be focused on what God is done and what He is doing and telling others of Him. And when the evil men scoff over it, keep praising God. Let Him deal with them. His yoke is easy and burden is light. We don't have to get a headache or fearful heart on things going on around us.
