Israeli strike, agreement, or regime collapse: Scenarios for the Iranian bomb:
The Iranian regime is very close to obtaining a nuclear bomb, but it appears the Trump administration is currently trying to stick to a negotiation strategy. What needs to happen for this to change, what options are available to Israel, and what are the chances of bringing down the regime in Iran?

One of the interesting questions regarding Iran's nuclear program is why Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of Iran, needs this headache. The diplomatic, economic, and even military pressure on him is enormous, as are the prices his country pays for choosing this path. After all, Khamenei is the man who decides everything in Iran, and he is also the one whose published religious ruling prohibits building nuclear weapons. How do we explain this contradiction, the enormous investment despite the religious prohibition and heavy prices, especially at a time when the Iranian currency is recording another all-time low, trading at one million rials to the dollar?

There are several reasons for this: A nuclear bomb, and the national pride it can inspire, could become a unifying factor for the Iranian people at a time when they are falling apart from within, social divisions are widening, and abandonment of religion is increasing. After the blows Tehran has suffered in the past year, success against all odds could help unite parts of the population around a common goal. Presenting the bomb might also justify the difficult economic situation of Iranian citizens in recent years, proving that it was worth enduring the suffering to maintain the country in a position of power. Another reason is related to power struggles within the Iranian leadership, and the internal confrontation between reformist and conservative currents.

The question is whether one of the lessons Iran drew from the current war is that it must develop nuclear weapons at all costs, as a final gamble for the entire pot. As a reminder, nuclear weapons are the means that more than anything ensures the survival of the ayatollahs' regime, and would protect it from further Israeli attacks – especially these days, when it is perhaps more unstable than ever before. If this assumption is correct, it means Iran will do everything to obtain this weapon, and the only way to stop it is through military means before it achieves it.

Trump publicly called on the Iranians to negotiate on the program, asked the Russians to mediate between them – although it's difficult to call the Kremlin a fair mediator – sent a letter to Khamenei through an envoy from the Emirates – a letter that according to reports included a two-month ultimatum to reach a new nuclear agreement. At the same time, the president advanced his plan to increase economic pressure on Iran to the maximum level, to force it to enter discussions about the program.

But Tehran is not willing to back down at this stage. Despite some ambivalence in the position of senior officials in the Islamic Republic, and the clash between different opinions that led, among other things, to the dismissal of former Vice President and Foreign Minister Mohammed Javad Zarif, most responses to Trump's demands have been quite negative. For example, President Masoud Pezeshkian told him "do what you want, to hell with it," and Khamenei himself declared that the US would not stop them. Among other things, Iran has made it clear that it will not under any circumstances give up its nuclear aspirations, and that in any future solution it will continue to operate a civilian nuclear program – so the room for dialogue between the parties is small in any case. The existence of a civilian program is a guarantee that the Iranians will accumulate more knowledge and will be able to secretly continue activities related to nuclear development. The West cannot risk allowing such a scenario.

But after all this, why have the Iranians gone on alert just now? Why would Israel attack now, when according to estimates there are still at least a few months until Iran reaches an irreversible state? First of all, Iran knew that the ceasefire end date in Gaza was approaching, and that the Americans and Israelis are working together, perhaps trying to surprise it simultaneously with attacks in Gaza. On other fronts, Israel is operating with force, and it is certainly preparing for a major blow to Iran itself.

Zechariah’s barrel:
In Zechariah 5:1-11, the prophet tells us about a large barrel shaped object that flies in our atmosphere and is situated on the place prepared for it, in the land of Shinar.

It is referred to as a curse, that will sweep away every criminal and false religion worshipper as well as demolish their houses.

This mysterious object, or objects, has a lead cover and from their size and effects, we can discern they are nuclear missiles. Shinar is the ancient name for the fertile area of the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, which includes Elam; now part of Iran.

So, right now, in our day, we have this prophecy coming true. Iran has the technology to build these weapons and the motivation to use them against Israel.
But we who study the Prophetic Word, know the Lord will not allow this to happen and He will destroy the chief weapon of their strength. Jeremiah 49:35

Deuteronomy 32:34-35 & 43 I have sealed up in My storehouse, punishment against My enemies, till the Day of vengeance and wrath, at the moment their foot slips. [make a mistake] For the Day of their downfall is near, their doom is fast approaching. the Lord will punish those who hate Him and cleanse His peoples Land.

Isaiah 2:21 On that Day, the Lord will arise and strike the world with terror.

Jeremiah 4:20 Crash follow crash, for the whole land goes down in ruin.

Isaiah 66:6 The noise and distress that you hear, is the Lord dealing retribution to His foes. Revelation 6:12-17

Psalms 110:1-6 In glorious majesty He judges the nations, shattering heads throughout the wide earth. Luke 21:35

Destruction by fire:
Isaiah 30:26a The sun will shine 7 times brighter...A huge Coronal Mass Ejection.

Malachi 4:1 The Day comes, burning like a furnace, all arrogant evildoers will be as stubble, they will be destroyed in a fiery blaze. 2 Peter 3:7

Isaiah 29:5-6 Suddenly, in an instant, punishment will come, storms, earthquakes and a flame of devouring fire. Zephaniah 3:8

Isaiah 66:16 The Lord will judge with fire and sword, many will be slain by Him.

Ezekiel 21:28 A sword of slaughter will flash like lightening. Matthew 24:29

Isaiah 10:17-19 Sudden destruction. As sudden as someone falling in a fit.

Psalms 21:8-9 Your hand will reach all Your enemies, all who hate You. In Your anger, You will engulf them as in a fiery furnace and fire will consume them.

Destroyed at the moment of attack:

Amos 5:9 He makes destruction flash forth against the mighty.

Habakkuk 3:14 You pierce their leaders with Your arrows, they are swept away by a whirlwind as they open their jaws to secretly devour their victims.

Psalms 37:12-15 The wicked have drawn their swords and strung their bows, to slaughter the righteous. Their weapons will cut their own hearts and their bows will be shattered.

Psalms 7:12-16 The enemy prepares to attack, he has conceived mischief and given birth to lies. He has dug a deep pit, but he himself will fall into it.

Psalms 9:15-17 The wicked are trapped in their own devices. The wicked depart to Sheol, all the nations who are heedless of the Lord. Joel 3:4-7

The scenario:
Nuclear tipped missiles are prepared for launching. At the moment the firing button is pressed, the Electro Magnetic Pulse of a massive explosion on the sun will strike the area. The highly charged particles will cause the bombs and the missiles to explode on the ground.

Psalms 11:4-6 The Lord is in heaven, He watches mankind and He weighs out the just and unjust. He hates all who love violence.
He will rain fiery coals upon the wicked peoples and scorching winds will be their lot

Iran is issuing a warning to the US regarding potential airstrikes. This comes at a time when US President Donald Trump has been reaching out to Tehran, and the US has stationed warplanes on Diego Garcia. Iran fears that the US may be considering airstrikes if an agreement is not reached, and the Iranian government wants to make it clear that it will retaliate if these threats become a reality.

This is a risky move by Iran, which is using its nuclear program as a bargaining chip to potentially secure concessions. At the same time, Iran is seeking to strengthen its ties with Russia and China.

Iran is ramping up its rhetoric against the US to send a clear message. For instance, a video featuring Amir Ali Hajizadeh, a high-ranking Iranian official, was circulated online, in which he warns the US against striking. Hajizadeh, who heads the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) aerospace unit, stated that Iran could retaliate by targeting US military bases in the region. "The Americans have around ten military bases in the region—at least near Iran—and 50,000 troops," Hajizadeh said in an interview with Iranian state media. "It’s like they’re sitting in a glass house. And when you’re in a glass house, you don’t throw stones at others."

Iran is stressing that, although the US may have the ability to carry out precision airstrikes on Iran, Tehran has the capability to strike American bases in the Gulf, including those in Iraq, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, and the UAE. Iran believes this could make the US reconsider, as Iran can destabilize multiple regions.

In the past, Iran has used proxies to attack US forces in Iraq, carried out drone and missile attacks on Saudi Arabia in 2019, and has collaborated with the Houthis in Yemen to target the UAE. Currently, the US is retaliating against the Houthis with the USS Harry Truman carrier strike group.

Iran's leadership regards Iran and all Iranians as suicide bombers (i.e "martyrs") - literally. That has always been their policy. As long as the state of Israel is also annihilated in the process.

Iran's leaders are also intelligent enough to know that the USA could just be attempting to make sure that Iran experiences a "Surprise, surprise!"

So everyone will keep their real cards close to their chests when so much is at stake. Don't believe the lie.

The barrel is a basket and symbolizes spiritual wickedness in the last days. Babylon and whore riding the beast, the great prostitute.
I have no issue with this symbolism.
It is not a bomb.

One of the prophet Zechariah’s visions is of a measuring basket with a lead cover. In Zechariah 5:7-8 he writes, “Then the cover of lead was raised, and there in the basket sat a woman! [The angel] said, ‘This is wickedness,’ and he pushed her back into the basket and pushed the lead cover down over its mouth.” Why would God use a woman to portray wickedness in this vision?

Here are a couple of things to consider: first, the Hebrew word translated “wickedness” is a feminine noun. As such, using feminine imagery throughout this section would be appropriate, from a purely grammatical standpoint. While the English language does not typically speak of non-living objects as male or female, other languages often do. For example, we would refer to “evil” as an “it”: “Evil, it is a negative thing.” In Spanish, however, evil is a masculine noun, el mal, and would be referred to as “he”: “Evil, he is a negative thing.” Likewise, in Hebrew, wickedness, is a feminine noun, referred to as “she.”

Second, the use of “woman” in verse 7 parallels the mention of “two women” in verse 9. The woman in the basket represented widespread wickedness (verse 6); after the prophet sees what’s inside, two women pick up the basket and fly away with it to Babylonia, where it finds a home (5:11).

The basket’s destination also gives us a clue as to the presence of a woman in Zechariah’s vision: Babylon is the name of the evil world system in the final days. Revelation 17 pictures this system as a woman, called “the great prostitute” (verse 1). So, the woman in Zechariah’s vision is let out of the basket in order to ride the scarlet beast in John’s vision. In other words, the wickedness that was previously kept in check will be unconfined and wreaking havoc in the last days.

In summary, the entity in the basket is a woman for grammatical reasons and also for consistency with later prophecies. Other passages symbolize worldwide sin with similar imagery; for example, Revelation pictures the spiritual adultery of the last days as a prostitute. Thus, Zechariah’s prophecy dovetails nicely with John’s apocalyptic vision of the future.

The Iranian military is urging a preemptive strike on the joint US-British base in the Indian Ocean, where the US has deployed strategic bombers, in an attempt to prevent their use against Tehran. The Telegraph reported on Monday night that senior Iranian commanders had been told to prepare to act against the base if threats from Trump escalated. "Senior commanders were instructed to attack the base if Trump's threats became more serious," the Iranian official said. "Discussions about the island have intensified since the Americans stationed their bombers there." The article described the potential strike as "immediate."

The Iranian official also said that "some suggest missiles should be launched toward the island, not to hit anything, but to fall into the sea in order to send a clear message to the Americans that we are serious."

This report follows a similar threat published by the Telegraph the day before, in which Iran warned it could strike the US base in the Indian Ocean, claiming it possesses the weaponry to do so. "There will be no distinction in attacks on British or American forces if Iran is attacked from any base in the region or within range of Iranian missiles," the official told the British paper. "When the time comes, it won't matter if you're an American, British or Turkish soldier – you will be a target if your base is being used by the Americans."

My REBible says 'barrel'.
Scroll or barrel: those are just attempts to describe a large, elongated; round bodied object, which flies thru the air and causes destruction.

Deny Prophecy all you like and refuse to think God is trying to warn us, be it upon your own head.

The Hebrew word is a scroll. Barrel is misleading and has caused you to imagine the long barrel of a missile which this is not describing. It is a flying scroll causing destruction.

So; is the Lord trying to tell us something, or is He just having a little joke in Zech 5?

An actual scroll, as used by the Jews, has 2 wooden winding rods, to roll and unroll it. Zechariah didn't see them, did he?

Scrolls have words on them, looks like in this case words of warning of the judgment coming.
A curse is written on that scroll, that its big, means meant to gain attention, as in it is for the whole earth.

So I answered, “I see a flying scroll. Its length is twenty cubits and its width ten cubits.”

3 Then he said to me, “This is the curse that goes out over the face of the whole earth: ‘Every thief shall be expelled,’ according to this side of the scroll; and, ‘Every perjurer shall be expelled,’ according to that side of it.”

So; some people have a total disconnect between what the Bible Prophets tell us and what they imagine the end times to be.
Many Prtophesies say that what is coming will cause shock and awe. They tell us, in great detail how and when the Lord will take action - not descriptions in modern terminology and not dates, but with many details and indications of timing.
Take Isaiah 30:26a for example: Nowadays, the sun is carefully observed, we have satellites around it and know about its 11 year cycle of sunspot activity.
The ONLY explanation for; the sun shall shine 7 times brighter.... is an explosion on the suns surface. A Coronal Mass Ejection, which is earth directed, can severely affect us. Also: the moon shall shine as brightly as the sun.......;the reflection of this flash.

I have promoted this truth for years, but have never has anyone accept it. One person grudgingly said it was possible!
But that is how the Lord wants it to be. He has hidden His plans from the wise and learned. Matthew 11:25-26, and the foolish peoples listen to false teachers. Our faith will be tested and not being aware of what God intends to do, will be very disadvantageous to you.

Zechariah did not see a scroll.
What he saw had the general shape of a scroll, but it had entirely different attributes, such as the ability to fly and to cause destruction.

Zechariah 5:11 says: the place prepared for it is in Shinar, in the Euphrates valley; now part of West Iran.
