We all assumed WW3 would start with China, Russia or the Middle East, but what if it starts with us? USA vs. Commonwealth? That is a sad thought.

Donald Trump hasn’t even bee sworn in as President and he has turned the world upside down with threats to use military force to invade, occupy and annex Greenland (a territory of Denmark, ostensibly a NATO ally!) and to seize control of the Panama Canal, the control of which the US transferred to the Panamanian government in 1999.

Trump has pledged to bring an end to the war in Ukraine, but neither Volodymyr Zelensky, the erstwhile President of Ukraine, or Vladimir Putin, the legitimate President of Russia, are on the same page when it comes to a cessation of hostilities, meaning that the war in Ukraine will drag on for months to come.

Trump claims he wants to resume his bromance with North Korean leader Kim Jung-un, but Kim has become cozy with Putin.

And Xi Jinping and his behemoth Chinese economy looms large in the background, identified by Trump as the greatest threat to the United States, and as such his greatest challenge.

The old wars continue to rage, and the potential for new conflicts is an ever-present reality.

All "end time stuff". Not even mentioning the weird weather, the fires in California and the other present misc. wars on this planet.

That doesn't even make sense. If Canada were to become part of the US, we wouldn't have "our" politics anymore. Our politics would be American politics..........and couldn't help but notice that is in the exact same kind of mess as Canadian politics.

Look into Trumps past, he has an uncanny premonition of what needs done. Running for office the first time, Trump said he would turn the economy around within 6 months. Then President Obama asked if he had a magic wand to do that. Trump turned the economy around in 4 months. Strong leaders in the world respect each other.

Looks like you haven't read all of my posts. Some of you folks are making judgments about Canada based on ignorance and with blinders on. Our situation is EXACTLY the same as you have going on in America. Spiritually and politically. So pot/kettle.

And just like your Republicans just did, the Conservatives here are poised to win this next election soon to come in a landslide (even bigger than yours was). Many people began to wake up out of their stupor beginning with the trucker protest we had here and because this government has tanked the economy. The poll numbers are absolutely disastrous for the Liberals.....lowest levels ever seen, and this woke ideologically-driven Prime Minister is hugely unpopular now and hated by many, and he has been forced to announce his resignation as soon as his party elects another leader, which I think they have until the end of March to do so, if I'm not mistaken. At that time we are anticipating a vote of non-confidence with the current government and an election will be called. But the Liberals are not going to win no matter who is leader, most people here are so angry and fed up with that whole party.

With the Conservatives in power and their leader who is smart and practical minded, and has a backbone from what I can tell, I believe America will have a negotiating partner and ally who is awake to the various dangers that are facing our two nations and wants the same things you want.....FREEDOM, prosperity, and security.
