This is a question Christians need to discuss and be aware of it can put a person in a very dangerous place.
The danger with self-righteousness is it makes you believe that you are in the position of God. You CONDEMN people and pass permanent judgment. You determine who will be part of God's kingdom and who will not. True righteousness loves the sinner but hates the sin.Humility is the way of the truly righteous not pride.

I suspect no one is more humble than the Lord.

Oof, dangerous place to be in. I've heard from someone one time that "pride" isn't the issue, when the reality is, "pride" can be an issue.

I remember when becoming Christian the first time, how I looked at others. Downward. As though I was the one whom had the right to judge them. "They don't pray like me, they don't read the bible like me." That was my attitude... and inside I thought I was right.

Eventually I came around to the truth, none of that should be going on if we are walking in the spirit, and not of our flesh, because it gets puffed up.

Colossians 2 -- I do not believe there is anything wrong with pride of the Lord and his good works, he does through us by the spirit.

False humility is also something that can be commonly trope.

Colossians 2:18 New International Version 18 Do not let anyone who delights in false humility and the worship of angels disqualify you.

That also is a form of deception. I am sure I have fallen in the category from time to time in my life, now I know... Ha!
I don't care much of the worship of angels part, I never fell into doing those things... you could even replace that word with "worship of "messengers."
That could be anyone up on a pulpit which is worshiped from someone in the audience rather than worshiping God, in spirit and truth.

We don't typically know until we learn it though. I desire to become "Authentic" at this stage in my life.

Here is the definition from vines concerning humility, pride, and false.
Thank you @PGS11 (your name reminds me of a gun, but that could be false, I think there is a rifle considered a psg, maybe in a game somewhere, I can’t remember.)
