In January 2018,
Trump imposed tariffs on solar panels and washing machines of 30 to 50 percent. In March 2018, he imposed tariffs on steel (25%) and aluminum (10%) from most countries which, according to Morgan Stanley, covered an estimated 4.1 percent of U.S. imports
The Trump administration separately set and escalated tariffs on goods imported from China.
Trump Inflation: Average = 1.89%
2017 = 2.1%
2018 = 2.44%
2019 = 1.81%
2020 = 1.23%

Biden Inflation: Average = 4.77%
2021= 4.7%
2022 = 8%
2023 = 3.4%
2024 = 3%

On this web page, you can see at the bottom the reciprocal tariff listings
Many countries have tariffs on all US goods imported into their countries, some very high.

Crickets are going to chirp at every American car dealership outside of the USA.We can do the same we are not defenceless as he seems to think.Where are the trillions of dollars to reinvest going to come from over the next 50 years when everyone hates the USA were going to invest it in ourselves.No one wins in a blanket trade war its harms everyone.This can't be fixed in 4 years you realize it would take about 4 - 5 years to start it with enormous pain spanning about 50 years or more and that's if everything goes perfectly which it won't.

Are the tariffs going to be doles out as corporate welfare to rebuild America isn't that communism oh ya it rich people they don,t count it would be different - no one even knows his plan it comes daily.

American cars oversea sales were subjected to high tariffs by many countries.

All those countries have been tariffing against the US for a very long time.
Now we are doing what they did to us.
And companies are moving production and manufacturing back here to avoid tariffs.

Companies produce goods in many various countries, and one way they avoid tariffs in countries that charge tariffs is produce in the country they sell their stuff in. So many countries have done that for a very long time now. Why should the US not be doing what they already do?

Referring to the economy, many stock accounts are going lower for now, as it is disruptive to the globalist invested markets.
The markets are all globalist minded. The US is as the very biggest market for goods. Yes disruptive, but to the people who build things here, they love this stuff.

Well this will take a decade at least so prepare for some real financial loss your 401k just crashed and everything will be more expensive today and it won't go away in 6 months to a year it will have a lasting effect Wages would also have to be cut to make the USA competitive I actually had a senior Boeing official say this to me during union contract time.He said everyone has to take a paycut so labour is competitive.

Potash is a great example the USA imports 80 percent needed for farming in the spring and fall America has not got enough but Canada has plenty to go around why would you put a 10% tariff on it - it just raises the price of food in the USA.
Also the only trade deficit with Canada is in Energy everything else is to the USA's advantage but apparently we need to have this war.Canada will slap a tax on exported energy at some point if forced and we are in a corner its already been talked about.

Or more automation, which labor unions hate.
As in more robot workers with some kind of AI to reduce labor costs.
Yes, will take some years to do it.
I know Tesla and Nvidia are super into robotics now, that future is coming sooner than you think.

Another thing is population is dropping, falling birth rates. We kick out cheaper immigrant labor, what will replace them? Eventually robotics.

Lots of countries are worried there are not enough workers to do jobs no one wants, answer is again robotics.

He has fooled everyone in to believing it can all be done in a couple of year it will take decades.

Going to the store here now a lot of products from the USA are identified and we are discouraged not to buy them more will be added this will go world wide.
