Yes, this confirms that God only shows mercy to His people and not to unbelievers. Believers are not judged for their sin so we are the only ones shown mercy, while the unbelievers will pay for ever single sin they have ever committed.

Mercy never triumphs over judgment, these two are not in opposition. They are both independent attributes of God, neither are effected by anything else. They are both fixed in place and they never change or weaken or waver.

Psalm 103:17 is speaking about Gods elect, because we are the only ones who fear Him, while unbelievers spit in His face.

I'll do you one better. 1 Thess. 4:13-18 and 1 Corinthians 15:52 is the rapture and it will be in secret.

There are two parallel realities existing at the same time. God exists outside of His creation, and He sees the whole of time from the beginning to the end at the same time. So from His point of view, I was saved when He elected to save me, before time began.

From my perspective, God showed me mercy when He regenerated and converted me from a sate of death to a state of eternal life. But from Gods point of view this was a done deal before He created the world, so it is hard for me to get my head around the way God works. He is a mystery, we can only see what He is doing in the present and the past but we don't know what He is going to do in the next moment.

In reality I didn't become one of Gods elect at a pint in time. He elected me before time began, at a time when I didn't need any mercy because I had not sinned yet so I didn't deserve to be judged either. That's why I don't see any need for God's mercy to trump His justice. Those attributes of God don't compete in any way, all His attributes complement each other and none ever compete in any way.

I see you're not trying to be politically correct, you don't seem to be going along with the narrative that, "Islam is a religion of peace". I respect you for speaking the truth, which is now considered "hate speech".

I formed my view regarding MAD, because Pakistan is an Islamic country and it has nuclear weapons, but someone has previously advised me that Pakistan's nuclear weapons are not long range so they wouldn't reach Israel.

I was trying to make the point that God is a mystery, so we will never understand His ways. I'm sure you believe God elected those He purposed to save before time began, Adam had not sinned before I was elected so I stand by my earlier point that I was sinless when God elected me.
