The Joy of the Lord

Hope this will be a light-hearted hearte, fun topic. Take a look at this verse:

Nehemiah 8:10 KJV
Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the Lord is your strength.

The joy of the Lord is our strength... How do we understand that?

1. We have a strength. The source of our strength is the Lord's joy, or in other words, we are strong because the Lord is happy with us!

Or..

2. The Lord has joy and he is happy. The source of his joy is our strength... Our faith!

Which us it? I am giddy either way! Personally, I believe both are true.

actually the joy of the Lord is Jesus our Saviour = I bring glad tidings of great joy= do not let anyone rob us of this joy and strength that we have a Saviour - twinc

We make Him happy the word says. He sings over us.
Zephaniah 3:17
"The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; He will save, He will rejoice over thee with joy; He will rest in his love, He will joy over thee with singing."

The well of His Joy is within us.
As David encouraged himself in the Lord 1 Sam 30. We sing as Israel sung. We sing to the well of God's Spirit within..."Spring up oh well.." Num 21
