Will pray, my son use to self harm and came to faith a few years ago, he still has mental health issues.
Relay to him that Jesus loves him and knows everything about him , so he is accepted.
May be helpful to write some scripture out and just get him to read it out loud every morning ( verses about his identity in Christ ) it sounds an odd thing to do, but honestly speaking truth externally can impact internally xxxxxxx

thank you all he told me his story and wow is it a deep one he has had suicidal thoughts many times and came close to it many times
My son has attempted suicide twice in the past , so has my eldest and daughter. Past trauma ect can impact so deeply. I had to claim ‘ life ‘ over my daughter last year when she nearly succeeded and ended up in ICU.
All the scars, internally and external can be part of wonderful testimonies- His story, his journey can and will speak to others, just as my sons will. Who can reach those who battle these things, truly only those who understand it xxxxx
Thinking of you also as the journey as a bystanding can be difficult, words mean little in those dark places and the fears, concerns can run deep. I still get panic inside when my children have off days- so the Lord has to heal me as well xx

Good morning, beloved beautiful people. We must never lose sight of the fact that this life is temporary; it’s fleeting. …but in Jesus, we will one day have eternal life and everything will be beautiful—No more pain and no more sorrow. We just need to be strong, faithfully devoted to Christ in this brief time on earth. Why? because we know that the best is yet to come! Let’s hang on tightly to the very One who gave His life for us so that we could live.

1 Timothy 6:12 (NKJV) Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.

Walking with each of my children through their issues ect have taught me so much , I know my daughter and youngest son still have ‘ Plans ‘ in their heads - but right now , after many years , they are not in the same place at the moment. I live next door to my daughter now, so we all kind of support one another.
So sorry to hear about your own story xxxxxxxx

thank you all he told me his story and wow is it a deep one he has had suicidal thoughts many times and came close to it many times

That is suicide ideation..

" always thinking about committing suicide".......... always considering it.

That is demonic oppression, and so, they need to be set free from this mental stronghold.

- So, we agree together according to Matthew 18:19... that their mind will be set free from these repeating thoughts of self harm, and that these thoughts would never return to oppress them, and in place of these thoughts we agree with the word of God that says that .." God has not given them a spirit of fear, but of power, and of Love, and a sound mind.", always.

In Jesus name.. we pray,

Amen

if I could also have prayer as well I was a debate about mathew 24 and the rapture and I have always believed in the rapture had to many rapture dreams to count and told everyone the king is coming I have been called a false prophet many times for my speaking of how the rapture is close and to have hope and look up but in this debaye I simply cannot debunk this post trib rapture view either way I look at it the people who taught the post trib made sense to me I would not be able to explain why unless I showed the thread but basically I now have lost all hope and am sad and if I was wrong about the rapture what else am I wrong about? am I really a false prophet? how can I be sure of anything I believe anymore?

I am just lost now and confused

Don’t lose hope , we are forever learning , growing and questioning and it’s often through the questioning that we work out what is true within us.
May you find peace about what the thread raised ect -xx
