I made an article on the threat to liberty and freedom of choice under attack in the United States and hopefully not other countries. People have the right to seek proper self care for mental, emotional, physical needs from stress and pain and other issues that come up in life. And many times the direction is probably to see a doctor instead of tobacco, strong drink or wine. Let's be honest, doctors medications are probably more dangerous to humans than the good old natural remedies. And there is also the fact that doctors don't prescribe based in the request from the patient. They have liability when writing a prescription and can actually lose there license in certain cases. Even stress related medications are probably going to evolve into legal class action lawsuits when people find permanent or temporary injury from those medicines. Without alcohol and perhaps tobacco there are various stress related disorders that can result, and also suffering perhaps to the point of torture considering alcohol. If prohibition is forced on the United States Population it would be a very dark dictatorship and total control, manipulation of people from a very dark governing power.

Be careful how you vote and support freedom of choice rather than citizen mind, heart and body control from governing powers.

Over here in the U.K., just before our general election, the conservatives wanted to ban smoking permanently to anyone who is 15 or under - so even when they reach adult hood they would not be legally allowed to buy it, while anyone over that age could carry on.
Not sure it went down to well, not heard anything else about it.
I know they want to ban disposable vapes because too many young people are getting hooked on them

Thanks for the information @Rita. Yes I've heard the age related issue for prohibition as well for nicotine products. I don't see a relavant argument along those lines from the law makers and politicians really, as that idea could certainly be used against alcohol which provides some elderly and pain sufferers with some relief without the complications and extreme addictive nature of doctor prescribed opioids. They are hell really to take.

I am suspicious of any politician or lawmaker promoting age related arguments or any argument promoting prohibition of alcohol and tobacco. We did have a prohibition problem from the government in our history here in the USA and I can clearly see they were not Christians who have a bible they follow.

Personally I think there should be more controls with alcohol as so many people end up in casualty with drink related issues and cause the staff endless problems with abuse. It also causes just as many Health issues as smoking. Would not agree with a total ban though - yes I have read about the Prohibition history in the US.

I can not see one reason why anyone would want to take up smokeing, as their is not one reason for such at all ! It's insanity ! a idiot trend !
It's more adictive than smoking dope by far in fact !
The dope people smoked back in the 1980's was fine, what they smoke nowadays is evil rubbish to get high it's just pathetic criminal to let that loose on the public. It is not the same in any way at all !

You never had people smoking pot like everyday like people who smoke fags do all day long everyday for the rest of their life !
People who smoked a bit of Dope was like only every now and then thing once a week or once a month thing and not to get smashed at all. apart from a few, they had other issues as to why they did so. like a drunk drinks everyday for some mental messed up issue reason for starters.
Then again most people who smoked Dope give such up that i know of on their own bat, i do not know anyone who smokes it, who once did that does now for the last 30 years.

I seen a 18yo girl of late who was full on into Vaping $25 for one and i seen she she got two. and needed such real badly ! or would not be able to function, who knows what such truly is ! she had mentel issues for sure, like who truly knows what is in that crap !
I would see my mum go into a mentel fit rage for smokes and send me down to the shops to buy them for her when i was 8yo.

I always hated that my mum and dad smoked fags.

The money that they spent on fags would of easy bought a House over the years easy. They are about $2 each for just one fag now in
Australia because of the Tax on them is so high !

So now we have chop chop etc being sold on the black market in droves and people are being murdered and shops being burnt down everywhere due to Gangs wanting to get a chop out of the market, i have lost count of how many.
Not to mention all of the brats etc braking in to steal as many cartons of fags that they can get their hands on !

I want smoke to be like cars were required to lower their pollution by Law ! so to Smokes should be the same and every year the toxic chemicals reduced Nicotine lowered year after year, not the price of the Tax on such rubbish. it's the toxic and adictive crap thats the real problem ! the Governments are retards ! everything that they have done is stupid ! they have cause all of the problems in fact.

The article cites positions that people use that specific form of nicotine to lower their dosage for an easy withdrawal and eventual termination of the use of nicotine. And that is also addressed with vaping. We have had discussions on this forum and that appeared to be useful for some people to quit, they were able to reduce the dosage with vaping equipment as it allowed for such.

I had quit myself and found that a slow and general reduction in dosage was the most pleasant and easy method to quit. Attempting to quit from normal consumption doses can be traumatic emotionally and also perhaps physically disturbing.

There is some usefulness in tobacco products for certain types of people that are already on the herb. It can induce relaxation and alleviate stress. But also, if not funded and having to go without can cause tremendous emotion and physical stress.
