Squirrel was tame and lived indoors with them.
Seems the couple run their own animal rescue shelter.

Video of the pets before city officials killed them.

Very sad. I was skipping those videos but saw the titles on YouTube.

I remember a case of a tame Raccoon. The people had it since a tiny orphan. Don't know what happened but the officials wanted to release it. It would have died in the outdoors.

Local government abuse of power, took 2 pets and killed them both.
They had them 7 years

Just watched this video which shows their rescue farm...they care for 71 horses and a total of 300 animals.

This is crazy!! He said four judges signed off on the search warrant for the squirrel and raccoon!!! He said 10 to 12 Federal agents searched their home!!! They also checked his wife to see if she was legal.

This happened in a Democrat run State. Can people understand why we don't want the crazy Democrat policies?!!! They don't use commonsense. Vote Trump!!!

Peanut the Squirrel, a beloved pet who was an internet sensation before New York state officials confiscated and then killed it, is drawing even more social media attention after the rodent's death.

The state Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) seized Peanut and a raccoon named Fred from owner Mark Longo's home and animal sanctuary in rural Pine City, near the Pennsylvania border, earlier this week. The agency, which said it had received complaints that wildlife was being kept illegally, then euthanized the critters, to the horror of Longo and about 550,000 of Peanut's best friends. As word got out, the X memes went up.

"President Trump will save the squirrels," Elon Musk wrote with a squirrel and a crying face emoji. "RIP P’Nut." The text was accompanied by an image of the rodent on the back of his smiling owner, Mark Longo.

They took it simply because it brought someone joy and happiness but happened to be from the "wrong" political persuasion.

Meaning....
It's getting really scary to be a voice in the process anymore.

For the sake of Peanut.

If they do that to squirrels, imagine what they will do to the babies.

Don Jr. talks about the craziness of letting in hundreds of thousands of criminals but killing Peanut the pet squirrel. It's at about the seven minute mark on video.

If I may say with respect, apparently it bit someone.

There was a case over here I read, about a wild squirrel that either bit or scratched a woman, who was trying to help it, she apparently died as a result of the injury she sustained from the wild squirrel.

Apparently it bit one of the several Federal agents because it was scared. They should have left it alone.

The squirrel lived indoors for seven years as it couldn't be outside (got attacked). So it couldn't have had rabies. They killed it to do a rabies test. The raccoon didn't bite anyone and they killed it, too.

The owner was working on paperwork to get the squirrel approved as an educational animal. I heard some woman in Texas complained about them... maybe she was jealous of them having a successful channel? The squirrel and raccoon lived in New York State. Far away from Texas.

Thanks for your commentary @Debp .

Personally, I can see both sides of why the squirrel was euthanised....also for those against euthanasia.of said squirrel.

For euthanasia.

Against euthanasia.

I would like to read a full commentary from the officials, on why the said squirrel was euthanised..not just one sided stories..with respect.

I don’t take sides..I like to hear all the facts...about why this squirrel was euthanised. there are two sides to every story.

Here's the facts in the article link.

Several agents raided their home for five hours. No wonder the squirrel got scared and bit one of them.
