My previous marriage failed. Why? Because God wasn't our foundation.

Friendships have withered. Why? Because God wasn't our foundation.

My relationship with my adult son has suffered. Why? Because God wasn't our foundation.

I'm thick in the skull but I'm nevertheless slowly realizing God's wisdom. Those that put aside their own pride and vanity and commit to following God have a rock-solid foundation. And so when their relationships are "salted with fire", they can look to their foundation in God on how to overcome relational challenges.

All praise and thanks go to our Heavenly Father.

Luke 6:48
He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when a flood arose, the stream broke against that house and could not shake it, because it had been well built.

Thank you for your post, to which I can relate and empathize.

The message (to me): it is never too late to turn to God, and to embrace His commandments, guidance, & mentorship.

(That is a major theme in the stellar movie “God Is Not Dead.” It also plays an important part in Christian prison ministry.)

Now, if you can just convince any of the ungodly among us to do the same!

Peace and blessings.

Addendum: there is a wonderful little movie titled, “A Ring by Spring” (starring Rachel Boston).

At the very end, her eyes are ”opened” and she says, “Why did it take me so long to figure this out?”

That says it all for me (and perhaps you): why did it take so long?

Blessings.

And then as Paul was inspired to write...

1co 3:11For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
