The curious case of John 5:4

I personally think when Jesus and paul thought of monotheism, they thought of one Godhead. The father, the son and the spirit. Even in the OT. The God of Israel (jesus) said he was sent by the father and his spirit. when the high priest on the other hand thought of it. He thought of one person...

The curious case of John 5:4

On thing to remember, he told them they needed rescued. they did not think they needed rescued. And since he did not come to free them from Rome,, They rejected him as not only their savior. But their messiah. the first one was a damnable offense.. the second one caused them to lose...

The curious case of John 5:4

I think, paul as a jew would interpret monotheism different than say like the high priest Ciaphis. but yes, I have actually seen people question the authority and reliability because of this very issue, which is sad.

The curious case of John 5:4

Again, I think it all comes down to how one interprets a word. Did Jesus contradict himself? When Jesus believed in monotheism, was his interpretation of that wrd the same as the jews who rejected him?

    GJohn 1.18

Not sure if it helps. But if we look back to vs 1. The author wrote, the word was with God (Literally Ho Theos. Or the God) and the word was God (again, Ho Theos, or literally the God) in vs 18. It just says Theos.. The fact that he changes his wording, and does not say no one has seen “the...

    Will Satan be saved?

or you can just pick up the word. And know that there will never be salvation for satan, and save yourself 42 minutes, and apply your time to doing somethign more productive Rev 10: 10 The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where[b] the beast and the false...

The curious case of John 5:4

I still have not seen any contradictions. All of the things you showed me can be answered in a way they do not contradict if they truly contradict. Then the Bible is flawed. You would not say a science book that is contradictory or has things that appose itself would be a perfect blood. You...

The curious case of John 5:4

but who makes this defenition? It’s legalistic if you say if you do not accept some creed made after the church was started and after the word was completed. You are not a christian. I agree, Just like God sets the standard. he spent 2000 years putting that standard together for us. in the...

The curious case of John 5:4

If you think these are contradictions I could see why someone faith could be shaken. again, context could answer every one of these. And also we can resolve these in a way as to not cause contradiction. I do not know why anyone would want a bible that contradicts itself. if the Bible is the...

The curious case of John 5:4

Are Are they saved because the accept it. or are they saved because they accept the words of God I think it is legalistic to say we must agree to some creed. Or we are not part of the church.

The curious case of John 5:4

Why would my faith be damaged? If you showed them, and I could not answer them, I would study long and hard to resolve them Now if there are literal contradictions in the word which can not be answered. Then my faith in the word would be shattered. Because it could not be trusted. god does not...

So the nicene creed should be held above the word of God? I would agree with the user, that if this is the requirment, then I would not qualify either. I could care less about some creed I did not write, i did not commit to follow. I am a follower of God in the Bible. Not some creed

    THE TRANSGENDERISM OF CHRISTIANITY

WHAT IS ThE MARK You can nt say you have sinned and fall short if you do not know the mark. in other words. How good is good enough. What sins or how many sins do you have to commit before you fall below that mark. And how do you knw what that mark is? Hpw can I come to God and repent, if I...

    THE TRANSGENDERISM OF CHRISTIANITY

One issue with this thinking Paul spoke of himself in present tense. Paul had this struggle not only as a child of God. But as an apostle of God. If paul struggles with this, who are we to say we will nto struggle with it? Your right, it can not touch us, Unless we allow it to. Thats the...

The curious case of John 5:4

please share one contradiction. No i will not accept it as true. If there is a contradiction then the Bible is flawed. Let me know. Because i will burn it, because it is useless. There are no contradictions. if we see a contradiction. Something in our belief system is flawed. we need to...

    THE TRANSGENDERISM OF CHRISTIANITY

BECAUE OF THE LAW Why are you stiuck on romans 7, is this the only section of the word that talks about salvation? The wage of sin is death, the gift of God is life, through Jesus our lord. Are you given life because you no longer sin? Because you do not do certain sins? because you do less...
