I can’t imagine NOT being married to my wife in Heaven!

I can only surmise that we acquire a greater understanding and love and so maybe we're "in love" with everyone! For that matter, will the concept of "male" and "female" exist in Heaven? I presume that procreation doesn't exist and that it is replaced by something far greater. I guess I am unable to conceptualize what it is that awaits us. Of course, I totally trust God and know it will be indescribably great!

Don't worry about it. Nothing would prevent you and your wife from "hanging together" for eternity. And intercourse maybe different but probably better.

Yes, I expect that procreation will be surpassed by being in the presence of an almighty sovereign God and being able to worship our creator all the time. Oh boy! I will be looking forward to that day.

I don't believe there will be a need, @Grailhunter. The whole purpose of being able to procreate is to fill the earth with the seeds of our kind. Although revelation seems to indicate that we come back down in the New Jerusalem, so who knows?

I totally agree. Let me explain….NotTheRock said… I can’t imagine NOT being married to my wife in Heaven! And for those that lose a loved one….which happens….in a marriage one dies before the other and many feel this way. And they focus on marriage and or sex in Heaven….but that is not the point. People that love each other here on earth will still be in love in Heaven. I would imagine there is no reason they cannot be together in Heaven and enjoy each other's company. And we do not know the exact status of our existence there. What will touch be like? Intimacy in Heaven will not be sex, it maybe at a higher level and or extraordinary. But I do believe who you love here you will love there. Loved ones and friends.

I had a conversation about Heaven with a Southern Baptist preacher around a campfire at Bible Camp. What is Heaven going to be like?….Are you going to have eyes to see? Are you going to have a mouth to eat and talk with? What about baseball and fishing? Won’t have sex because no need to procreate. Won’t need to eat because we will not be hungry. Won’t need to sleep because we won’t be tired. Floating around with harps praising the Lord? We just do not know, all we know is the promise that it will be great.

But many look forward to joining loved ones in Heaven.

If I were to defend that, I would argue that the resurrected Christ was (when He wanted to be) recognizably Jesus and thus had Jesus's male facial characteristics and voice. Obviously, no one in the Biblical record had the chutzpah to ask to see His genitalia. And I don't know what we'd need 'em for.

I'm thinking that our love and intimacy with all of God's children will so far exceed even the intimacy I have with my wife (we share a mind), the past things will be forgotten in the excellence of the new creation, where we live in holiness and righteousness forever.

Jesus told me everyone is the same in heaven, neither jew or Greek. Nobody gets a head, everyone is the same. No marriage, no lust for sex, because lust for flesh is a sin. God cannot tolerate or be around sin.

..I still need to clock someone he cut me off before I could finish and I am a woman scorned he is not even remorseful for what he done and the Lord knows this so surely he will let me throw one more pan from the heavenly cupboard ...Lord have mercy :pursuit:

The day God calls you home, you will not care. The Love of Jesus will be unlimited for you, and you will never have a thought of this world. Just live this life and let go, and let God handle it for you. He owns you and you are His child, believe it.
