Why does anyone want to live in Florida? Children can't safely go outside to play, even ...let alone your dogs and cats.

Mom looks to have some muscles, prying open those jaws!
Those Jaws cannot be pryed open by a woman or a man. Up to 2,000+ lbs/ square inch compared to a humans 120 psi. A lions bite is 600 psi. What happened is the animal got scared and opened them. "A human ... on my back ... oh, no!" Animals fear man, even a great white shark. A scuba diver proved it and swam towards one and it fled. That guy who confronted grizzly bears for years, stood his ground and yelled at them, made noise and they went away ... until one caught him off guard one day and attacked.
I had a choice to move to Texas or Florida and I chose Texas - because I wanted a dog and imagined this sort of thing happening in Florida while oeacefully walking along a lakeside. If they whip those spiked tails at you, they can break your legs. That is some woman!

Yes, have heard that. Although this gator is small one, maybe not as strong?

I have read stories of little old ladies feeding crocs, and then they disappear, never seen again.
In the late 60's, early 70's, My grandparents lived in Tampa in Sun City Center. Place had many small ponds and lakes, gold courses, and there were crocs in the water. And we were told stories of crocs eating things like dogs etc... I was walking next to one and startled a duck. The thing squawked and flapped fast across the water surface and then it disappeared, and the water was smooth and still. I think a snapper, or a croc took it.
