If this were happening 40 or even 20 years ago, I would have been in favor of it. My question is the timing now. If the nations we trade with were to come down on theirs and we reciprocated, it might help, but he is talking about rebuilding an industry that will be very expensive to reconstruct, and forcing the US automobile buyer and car owner (which is most of us) to foot the bill. My wife and I have been considering if now is the time to buy a new car for her, but I just told her that we'd better act before May 4th or we could be paying thousands more out of pocket for the same thing. And everyone else is thinking the same thing, cuz apparently stock is driving off the lots right now at an accelerated pace.

The whole thing is a little scary, considering there are suggestions the world's economies are about to begin paying a heavy price for all the debt they incurred during Covid.

No,I don't have a special clearance.

I have to use a VPN to browse some foreign websites. The Chinese government has some big misconceptions about Christians. These misunderstandings come from many things. It's hard to explain. But I am tolerant of these situations, as the Bible teaches us.

“They are already in effect, and a beautiful thing to behold. The Surplus with these Countries has grown during the ‘Presidency’ of Sleepy Joe Biden. We are going to reverse it, and reverse it QUICKLY. Some day people will realize that Tariffs, for the United States of America, are a very beautiful thing!”

In the past, I have heard of unfair dumping by subsidized companies of foreign nations, dumping their products below cost into markets, as an anti-competitive practice to gain market share. And don't see this as a thing US government does for companies exporting their stuff, but the US does subsidize oil production, and the US exports lots of oil and gas.

I have heard of it from China and Canada.

China’s extensive use of subsidies is a significant driver of global trade tensions, influencing market dynamics and prompting concerns about a potential “subsidy race” among nations. With more anti-dumping measures being taken out against the nation, China may be required to rethink its strategy or lose further trade market share among an increasingly skittish global economy.

The nations rage and the leaders cannot see nor guide this people .
