It is easy for those that dabble in messianic prophecies to go through the Old Testament and find words or verses that look like they pertain to what happened in the New Testament. In fact this makes up most amateur prophetic studies. Hind site is easy but understanding at this level is misleading.

But understanding what the Jews of the 1st century believed is a much harder thing to understand. But that understanding will give some insight into why the Jews rejected Christ. Yeshua was the true Messiah but there were too many changes and differences for them to get their heads around.

What the Jews believed or did not believe….
According to the prophecies the Jews believed the Messiah would be a human warlord king Messiah that would take out their oppressors and put the Jews as rulers of the world and the Mosaic Law would be taught to the whole world.

They were not looking for the Messiah to be the Son of God and a God. For sure the Jews believed that the Messiah would be human because they were looking at Jewish military leaders to be possible Messiahs during the Maccabean revolts.

The fact that God impregnated a woman that was betrothed was offensive to the Jews because they considered it adultery.

They did not expect the Messiah to be at odds with the Jews.

There were things that Yeshua was teaching that was not in line with Jewish beliefs.

They did not expect the Messiah to die.

GOD turned HIS mercy to the Gentiles until the full number of them have come in one day.

For the gifts and calling of GOD are without repentance.

I was born and raised in an Orthodox Christian family, where from childhood I was taught to value faith, traditions, and spiritual purity. Allow me to add my "two cents" to your conversation once again. I must note that until recently, Christians in Eastern Europe hardly ever thought about Israel. What you are so passionately discussing here feels alien and incomprehensible to many Christians in Eastern Europe, especially among the Orthodox, Greek Catholics, and even Roman Catholics. It’s only in recent times, with the development of the internet, YouTube, and active Zionist propaganda—mostly driven by Protestants through social media—that many Christians in Eastern Europe have been forced to respond to this agenda. Nevertheless, for the most part, people couldn’t care less about Israel. It’s purely an American issue, and mainly among Protestant Zionists. From the outside, it looks very strange, confusing, and contrived.

On the other hand, it makes sense: what difference does it make what Eastern European Christians believe if they don’t vote in U.S. elections? Why waste money on brainwashing them? After all, they don’t influence geopolitics. And thank God for that. As it is rightly said: "My strength is made perfect in weakness." It’s a relief that Zionists couldn’t care less about us Slavs, Eastern Europeans. I even feel sorry for you Americans. You’re under such a powerful mind-control beam. I’m amazed there’s still resistance and supporters of sound doctrine. God help you!
