New here. Came seeking answers to the the main question of the thread. Much to think about.
Think about Job. A man tested by God, and when Job found himself at where he thought was his end, his wife abandoned him and told him to kill himself, his sons never even said a prayer for him, and his friends, rather than comforting him, they blamed him and accused him of wrong doing, and wrong thinking. Job felt abandoned by God, and left to his own sorrow without hope. So what did Job do, he called out to God and pointed his finger at Him. He said things like "I wish I was never born, I wish I had never seen the light of day, I wish I had never left my mothers womb" and so on. He was speaking to the almighty as though his was perishing and just simply wanted to die from his hopless depression. Well Job got His wish, but it wasn't what he was expecting. God came out of the whirlwind, in anger at Job. In simple terms, God said to Job, who do you think you are insulting my omnipotence. Do you really believe I don't know what I'm doing?, that I created you without hope? Everything I created has purpose, and then God described how He laid the foundation for all things. Hopelessness is giving up on God, its telling Him that He was a fool for thinking you could handle this test called life. Jesus overcame this world and overcame death to establish once and for all time, above all, that If we put our faith and trust in Him, He will make us a new creation and all things will be new. There is no need to think about taking our own life, because we know how offended God will become from that insult. He's bigger than all the problems we "THINK" we have. All we need to do is believe and receive. Choose Life, it gets way better when Jesus is in it.

I don't know if suicide is a sin, but I have contemplated suicide many times, but I am too scared if things go wrong...so I haven't tried it...

Life is very harsh there is no escaping that, and since I have accepted it wont change just to suit my liking , I have found a little bits of peace. That was my Salvation.

I see it now as just a spirit of death which is upon me, and when it hits, I feel separate from the Love of God...I try to close the gap by finding life absurd. Paul said He would rather be with the Lord too, which is far better, so I guess it's a common experience and we kinda "know" life will be better in Heaven. But first we must accept ourselves as having these thoughts and its normal and find ways that work to deal with them... the bible helps me.

Sorry if anyone is going through this, I pray you find The Peace of God that passes all understanding.

Ending own's life (or committing suicide) is equal to murder which is sin. The only thing special is that it is the last sin the sinner commits because he is murdering himself. In another case, if a person lied (for example: he does not want the truth to cause problem to his loved ones) on his deathbed, then the last sin that the person committed is lying.
Isn't both lying and murder sinning? So why is everyone so focus murder?
The basics for this comes from the "Grace plus work salvation"
1) The Christian died in his sin.
2) The Christian do not have a chance to confess of his sin because confession can only be done while we are still alive.
Some Christians believe that they need to confess ALL their sins before they can be saved. This is a wrong belief.

The only sin that will cause everyone to go to hell is NOT doing the will of the Father which is accepting Jesus and trusting in his finished work on the cross as payment for our sins.
Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
And what is the will of the Father?
John 6:40 And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.”

I am not encouraging people to do kill themselves. But I am concern about how Christian are holding onto wrong belief and with wrong belief, it will affect the foundation of their walk with Christ.
It depends. If you are a soldier in a war or protecting your family and your decision to go in and fight the enemy _ knowing the mission is a one way ticket (a suicide mission); but that is what you signed up for, it's your duty _ for the cause _ then, no.
For selfish reasons only, to end pain and suffering or finding no purpose in life; then suicide is a total lack of faith.
God gives life and He alone has the right to take it away. Ending it for selfish reasons is giving up on God's plan and purpose for you. It is tantamount to saying, I can't trust you with my life or just a total lack of belief in God (which condemns you because you really didn 't believe, your little faith _ if any was tested and you failed.)
There is a purpose for pain and suffering. Some of it is a test of faith ... some of it is punishment . But the Biblen says He will not give us more than we can bear.
