Did you read the post that said plane crashes are down this year compared to last? This is not happening just bc suddenly there is an influx of poorly trained pilots, y'all.
Both pilots have a radio frequency to talk to each other. The command plane is the landing plane coming in for a landing. One plane landed; it was a Cessna 172. a plane built in the 1960's. Very versatile, very steady and can be flown in the artic and, with floats, on the sea. I've been in them. The other plane made a mistake that cost 2 people their lives. This is not happening just bc suddenly there is an influx of poorly trained pilots, y'all.
So you believe that all the sudden, multiple people a week are making random mistakes costing lives ...whereas a few months ago, everyone had better training and made fewer mistakes? Both pilots have a radio frequency to talk to each other. Honestly, we don't know if they're telling us the truth one way or the other. They could be just suddenly hyping this up to create panic. Or it could actually be that there are more plane crashes happening for whatever reason. How can we trust what we're being told?Did you read the post that said plane crashes are down this year compared to last?

I think there is more awareness now for some reason. In 2023, there were 1200 plane wrecks and more. Maybe more this year, who knows? But there was an private aviation boom starting after covid, and people were buying small planes and learning to fly. Personal jets and private plane sells increased, which puts more planes in the air.So you believe that all the sudden, multiple people a week are making random mistakes costing lives ...whereas a few months ago, everyone had better training and made fewer mistakes?
Something else is behind these "mistakes."
General Aviation small planes bump into each other daily, too.I saw an article that compared plane crashes in Biden's first year in office to the current first month for Trump. There were 53 crashes in Biden's first month, and 35 in Trump's. The media, however, thinks the public is stupid and can be led like sheep to believe whatever they want us to believe.
Again, how do you know these reports are even accurate?I saw an article that compared plane crashes in Biden's first year in office to the current first month for Trump. There have been less this year than last year. How many plane crashes have there been in the news recently? It's been like one a day.
Very strange, it's like the skies have become less forgiving.
It can happen. The Lancair 360 MK II has wings on the bottom, partially obstructing the pilot's view below the plane. The Cessna 172 has wings on the top, partially obstructing the pilot's view above the aircraft. Lack of vision can be the cause of a collision. Two single engine small planes collide in the air in Arizona. Now, how did they not see each other.
Be careful driving to the airport. And I will be flying to Greensboro end of April, or beginning of May! We will keep one another in prayer!

In post #32 I outlined what happened. It can happen. The Lancair 360 MK II has wings on the bottom, partially obstructing the pilot's view below the plane. The Cessna 172 has wings on the top, partially obstructing the pilot's view above the aircraft. Lack of vision can be the cause of a collision.
The runway has no control tower. In such cases, the pilots rely on radio communication to advise each other of their locations. If they fail to communicate, this is another reason for a possible collision.
This is not to suggest what happened, but only the possible reasons for not seeing each other.
Thank you!Be careful driving to the airport.
From the media we get some of all of these , truth , spin , half truth , bold face lies .One thing we can know for certain is that the media is controlled ...not by "the left" or "the right" ..it goes much deeper than that. So they are giving us the spin that they (not the media, but those who control it) want us to hear.
Thank-you. I saw that. I was answering the question, "How can pilots not see each other?"In post #32 I outlined what happened.
The pilots have good visibility forward, overhead, and both sides, but none from the rear, from their sitting position. Most likely the Cessna did not see the Lancair plane rapidly approaching trying to pass the Cessna on take off. If the Cessna saw the Lancair, it could have banked to the right to miss it. The Lancair did see the Cessna and tried race past it, like a Corvette passing a Volkswagen. The Cessna 172 is known for its slow and easy lift and landing. The reckless maneuver cost him his life.Thank-you. I saw that. I was answering the question, "How can pilots not see each other?"
