In early childhood I stood screaming at our gate because I couldn't reach the latch to open it.
When mother came out and unlatched it for me I screamed even louder ...... because I so desperately wanted to be able to do it for myself.
That sums up the whole of my faulted Life.
Always needing to be a 'leader', never being prepared to be led.
OCD in the extreme, which resulted in me starting my own businesses that made fortunes, only to completely lose them, become bankrupt, and then 'pig headedly' to start up again, time after time.
Eventually, by God's good Grace, I 'threw a double six' and retired before it all turned 'belly up' again.
My dying epitaph will be "If only....But too late now".
