That will be decided by the holy scriptures.

If a doctrine is not in accordance with the scriptures, it is false doctrine.

Of course, the ones who decide what is false doctrine are those who have studied to shew themselves approved unto God, workmen that do not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

If anyone preached as sound doctrine anything that is denied by the holy scriptures, it would eventually be found out and they would be ashamed. For the scriptures contain clear and plain statements on doctrine just like you think that the church has clear and plain statements on doctrine.

The difference between you and me is that you go to documents that are based on the Bible to find your doctrine; while I go to the Bible itself.

Well I agree with you that teh Scriptures are inspired and God breathed. and when an individual or whole denomination of Christendom draws away from the God breathed Constitution- then it is in error, and must be resisted.

You misunderstand what is being said- for as Jesus confirmed only God forgives sins. The church has no authority to hold a persons sins spiritually against them 1 JOhn 1:9 That remit or retain is demonstrated in Acts 5 with Ananias and Sephira. The physical consequence of sin can be retained by the elders of a church, but spiritually they cannot keep that sin to that person. Jesus already died and wiped away the eternal penalty for all sin!

Jesus Christ continues HIS ministry in His new covenant church thru Peter, the apostles, and their successors with the same mission, power, and authority!

Why do you continue to promote this lie? There have been Christians who opposed the papal dominance of Rome since it's inception. Christians who objected to being forced to submit to a tyranny that murdered it's opponents. Christians who preferred to cling to scripture for truth rather than tradition which contradicted scripture. There was always groups of Christians throughout the world who disagreed with Rome's heresies, lies, murders, and adultery with the Kings of the earth. Enough with this pretense that the reformation was the only opposition. That's a straw man. Stop hiding the truth.

RCC priests are forced to be celibate if they are to remain priests. I think the Council of Trent says that priests who marry are to be anathema (condemned to hell).

The celibacy rule for priests was instituted because the Pope did not want priests marrying outside of the Church, or to wives who did not agree with Church doctrine. It started with a rule made that Christian marriages could only happen in Christian churches and by an ordained priest. This was mainly directed toward emperors who were likely to marry wives outside of the Catholic church.

But the celibacy rule didn't stop priests and nuns fornicating, and adulterous and fornicating popes bringing illegitimate children into the world.

That is not talking about the Catholic Church; but of all those who have placed their faith in Jesus for salvation.

There are Catholic priests who do not have the Holy Ghost and therefore cannot retain and remit sins.

In fact, I would say that it is the majority of them.
